Forerunner Anatomy and Armor - Revisit

Thank you all for the praise as well as the constructive criticism! I took another stab at the armor. This one still keeps to the style I had originally envisioned for the Forerunners, while offering at least a little bit more mobility to the guy sealed inside. Also, I went back and added ear-sacks, as well as patches of arm-fur (so soft) to the Manipular anatomy. I'm considering painting versions of the Capital and the Primordial as well.

  • Really love this. The armor looks slick, while also looking geometric and complex, kinda like forerunner architecture. There is one thing that bothers me a teensy it though. The pattern underneath armor works really well underneath the chest plate, but because it is repeated throughout his body and limbs, I can't shake the feeling that underneath the armor he is wearing a beautifully patterned onesie. Really love the overall piece though! Much better than anything I could do.

  • Believe it or not I preferred the first version you posted. It had more in common with Bungie's forerunner concept.

Alhough I think the first version might have convinced if it was shown in motion, this one conveys flexibility a lot better.
