Dust 514
Hey guys just wondering if any of you currently play Dust 514. I'm curious about all of your various builds and what you're excited/want to see in the game. Feel free to post your fitting with your race with any info about long term character plans. Thanks!

I actually started playing this again. They added new maps. The game mechanics are better. It's not taking me away from destiny but still a fun game

I like the customization for the most part (could use a "preview" feature, so you're not skilling into a role you might not like blind, among other things), it's the actual core gunplay that needs work. It's functional, but not good enough. But I run a Gallente Assault Suit. Nothing fancy, I'm thinking about being a Logi as well though. EDIT: Wow this thread is old. I stopped playing it, honestly. Deleted it off my PS3. I'm thinking about re-downloading it, but they still haven't seemed to fix the core gameplay, and the maps seem to still suck ass. Plus with the newest patch people are redline tanking. Eugh.

I play Dust 514. Racial Gallentte. Gal Scout Minja Minitar Scout Scout sniper and shotty. I enjoy it even with its known posted short comings. Hit detection can be bad for above mentioned weapons. Oh yea forgot about my build. Well when I don't mind using suits I run: -Amarr Medium suits either advanced basic or advanced logi -Scrambler Rifles and Scrambler Pistols -Advanced Scanners, Uplinks, and Repair Tool -And mostly militia modules blueprints cause I bought them when they were cheap. But usually I just run a militia Caldari suit with an Exile AR and Scrambler Pistol.

6 RepliesAs an Eve player it's in my best interest to want this game to survive since CCP seems determined to make it an integral part of Eve. Still say they should have gone with the 360 if they were going to make it exclusive since the shooter audience is much larger on that platform. The ideal situation however would have been for the game to be multiplatform.

I do. CCP has the RPG aspects down they just need to fix the actual gameplay. I am a Minmitar Assault. 5 Enhanced Shield Extenders Flux Grenade Basic Nanohive Duvolle Assault Rifle Basic Submachine Gun 2 Enhanced Armor Plates That's my prototype fitting, I don't run it though, I saved it for back when Planetary Conquest first came out. We defended our territory, both of them for almost 2 weeks, but we lost. Synergy Gaming took our last district. Honestly, I could care less if people think it sucks, go on any game forum at all and there will always be doomsayers saying it's dying. I love looking at posts on the EvE forums 10 years ago. So many people were like EvE sucks, EvE is dying, look at it now, it's excellent, updated twice a year nearly, always for free, and it's the only MMO in the past 10 year to continually grow in subscriber numbers and not fall down. Dust will get better. Thankfully Sony worked with them on the patches, so now Dust is going to get updated monthly, sometimes maybe twice a month. I'm really glad CCP chose to go into content lock mode and focus on improving the core mechanics. Once they finally get the game going good, they can add the content in. I'm looking forward to PvE the most for now. CCP says it's not coming super soon, but it's close. We're in it for the long haul.
