As a competitive player, I just got that much more excited for Destiny...
When I found out about Destiny, I knew a competitive multiplayer was announced.
The biggest issue i've been waiting to hear about, was what exactly Bungie meant by "competitive multiplayer".
Seeing as they are headed into a new open world direction, will we be getting the option to at least be able to compete "player vs player" or "team vs team" where we have matches that are strictly meant for competition and perhaps even eSports...
Bungie has not come out and said it, but based on [b]two[/b] interviews I listened to, we've got ourselves a semi-confirmation that I believe answers those questions to a certain extent.

8 RepliesI too am extremely interested in how the competitive multiplayer will work. I can't imagine it will be anything like Halo where we have standardized starts and so on and so forth, as that would ignore what Destiny is at it's core and seems like bad game design. I'm hoping for some awesomesauce open world gank based PvP.
