Xbox and playstation Destiny players should be able to play together on co-op servers
Xbox and Playstation need to find a way to reconcile their differences and allow their players to play with each other on the same game.. Most importantly Destiny. I think it would bring better gaming experiences to the gamers. I dont have much faith they will anytime soon or at all for that matter but it would be cool. Not everyone including my friends are getting Destiny for the Xbox one and i think i heard you can only play Destiny with only other people who have your console. Hopefully this isnt true. Ive had enough let downs recently as it is with the xbox news that the games wont be compatible and what not. As for this xbox/playstation war..it needs to stop. We all need to band together as gamers and focus our attention on something even more important at hand.......why the government is trying to blame video games for people killing other people with guns! Reality is reality and fiction is fiction..people need to realize the difference and if you cant differentiate between the two then you have no right picking up a controller. They are trying to keep us down!

They could, but they won't. When it comes down to it, it's all about the dollars and they want you to play on their consoles over their networks. Otherwise I would love the idea! You could have console championships PS vs XBox. It would be awesome.

i wld love to be able to play with or against xbox players i can see it now console wars leting those pesky xbox know it all think im the best players have it BLAM BLAM yep just bagged me one he was a fighter had to chase him half way cross the map

This would be a fantastic feature unfortunately not gonna happen. They just want money and it do this without charging some fee isn't worth it business wise. If someone actually cared about us and not the money in our wallets then this would be a feature that could be added unfortunately our wallets r more important

3 RepliesAs much as we want it to happen, it probably won't. The cold hard truth about Microsoft and Sony is that they really don't give a damn about your gaming experience, as long as they get their money, they don't care. I feel like there's just too much animosity between the two companies for them to actually cooperate with each other and do something that players from both consoles will benefit from. I hope I am proven wrong though, I really do....

3 RepliesI think it's a good idea but only if there is a rating button for the players that way if say a xbox one player was trying to start a console war(example) then you would give him a negative and after accretion number of negatives he will be banded for 24 hours.

2 RepliesI believe that is quite possible for both Sony and Microsoft to be able to have servers in which both Xbox players and Playstation players can play a singular game together, regardless of consoles. Granted you're going to have players who are going to argue with that this has been done before and it'll be disastrous if they do it. What if they could manage to pull it off so that friends could play with each other regardless of console. Just playing the game to play the game like Bungie wants us to do. Personally I don't care which console I play, just the game. So maybe for a split moment in time Microsoft and Sony can put aside there difference and figure out a way to do a cross platform server that can enable both the Xbox and Playstation that can run at a smooth, easy rate without players, or developers, to be frustrated with a beautiful game.

Finally someone who agrees with me on how destiny should truly be a "Shared World Shooter" by putting the consoles in a multi-platform system that would make it fun to be able to play with all friends

This is more or less just connecting to a matchmaking data server, ones that bungie, not ms or sony owns. With the amount of frantic back-peddling they've did since E3, denying this would only further the all too well known truth, that they(ms) give zero shits bout their fan base. I would love to hope for this, as so far, every time I've sene it asked, its dodged immediately. I recall in an older interview they were asked (either about cross platform play, or cross platform saves) and the response was "they're out data servers, we can do whatever the hell we want" It's far past time to leave the older business models behind, both consoles are opened up to the indie market like never before, hell even the wii u is. Stay competitive, yes by all means. But that doesn't mean we as gamers have to be divided.

2 Repliesxbox 360 and xbox one wont even have cross platform play, something to do with the 64 bit that will not allow it between the consoles. so, unfortunately, I think every console will be separated.

4 RepliesYou are not the first, and probay won't be last. but what has history told you about rival companies? The word rival is there for a reason!!!!!! PC/MAC, iOS/Android, Bing/Google, Sony/MSFT, DC/Marvel. They never work together, never have, never will. In fact, the government won't allow it. If two rival companies teamed up, it would create a monopoly, leaving other companies in the dust. So stop asking, stop speculating never gonna happen
