OH YES PLEASE I WANT THIS NOW.
-
Please happen!
-
I hope so, if it's true then I won't even have a single reason to get the Xbox One and I'd be happy to drop that thing.
-
If this happens, it could give further reason for teh puma to just sit on PC.
-
Well... I just gave my friend the green light to build a decent gaming PC for me, so let's hope this is true.
-
I DON'T HAVE A REASON TO BUY A CONSOLE OH GOD PLEASE HAPPEN
-
I'm not going to celebrate yet. I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Edited by Arbiter 739: 5/24/2013 12:11:43 PMYES. I AM SO HAPPY. EDIT: A shame it's an IGN article, though at least this is an article all about the topic rather than just mentioning it.

As someone who recently moved from console to a PC this would make me very happy indeed. Bungie and Halo are what really got me into gaming so it would be great to see Destiny on the PC. And if that means having to wait a wee bit longer so they don't have to risk the core experience of the game I'm totally fine with that.

Edited by Loads A Nigdalf: 5/24/2013 11:48:01 PM
Just say "No" and stop lying to us. The "technical" difficulties involved in porting from Xbox One to PC should be elementary. Xbox One utilizes x86 architecture, DDR 3 RAM, has an AMD CPU and GPU and uses DirectX 11.1. It runs an OS based on the Windows 8 kernel along with the Xbox OS, which as we all know, uses the Windows NT kernel. The only "effort" involved would be for the different control scheme of the PC platform.
A good comment

I'm indifferent about a PC version but I think cross platform saves would be really cool. Maybe each console would have their own exclusive content (PS4 exclusive content) sort of like different Pokemon versions and you can use the same profile for each console. If you don't have both consoles then you could trade stuff cross platform through bungie.net. Just speculation.
-
I would be so happy if Bungie released Destiny on PC
-
Who cares? I'd rather they focused on consoles and leave out the dying pc platform.
-
What's with the live action/CGI trailers lately?
-
I like this news a lot. Hopefully they'll get it to pc sometime.
-
Edited by ABotelho: 5/24/2013 6:40:50 PMThey better release it on PC... I can't imagine it being that hard. After all, not only is the Xbox One using Direct X like the 360 did, it has has an x86 processor just like the PS4, and also uses the Windows Kernel. I mean c'mon, is it really that hard? The Xbox One is basically a custom Windows PC at this point.
-
It will probably release on PC one year after it's release on consoles.
-
Please, oh please be true.
-
I would LOVE for a PC version of this game to be released, and if they can confirm one will eventually be in the works, I'll strongly consider holding out on a console version to get that one. However, I can TOTALLY understand the difficulty in developing a game for four separate platforms already. I don't want Bungie to be overworked by piling on a fifth platform onto their plate. If they can eventually get around to a PC version, though, that would be fantastic! :D
-
cross platform saves! YES YESSSS YESSSSSSS!!!!1
-
Please Bungie! At the very least they should come out with a port a couple months after release if they are worried about the workload.
-
My body is ready...
could
It'd be silly of Bungie not to
cross platform saves
meh
