Will there be any Retro Bungie Employees at Pax?

Recon 54, will Pax Prime13 have any retro Bungie employees. I have finally stumbled across 3 Marathon titles and the Myth Codex all factory sealed. I would love to have the retro employees sign their souls to my dedication for enjoying their classics. This means a lot to me because I have made it a personal goal to collect everything they have created. Last night I finally got my hands on Marathon Infinity and if you do ask the sealed copy of Marathon Durandal is indeed for the Mac. The most Bungie employees I have seen in one spot was the Bungie Charity Auction and Halo Fest. I am nearly shacking in excitement for the Bungie panels if there is any. (Most likely) If there is one I hope they can bring some swag to the booth so we can buy and they can gladly take my hard worked money.

Grizzled Ancients typically make it to PAX, but spotting and finding them isn't always easy. They do attend/host panels (sometimes, depending on what they have in the pipe). I bumped into Paul Russel at one PAX, but that was mostly due to me having banned him from the forums (long story). If Bungie has a booth, the odds are better for encountering some of the older school guys, but even then they attend as free agents and gaming fans, not so much as official attendees. I'm not saying that this would be a certainty, but I have known that some requests for old-media being signed by team members are sometimes accommodated by the community managers *wink wink, nudge nudge* (DeeJ is SO going to kill me!). Here's what I would recommend. If you have stuff that you're looking to get signed by specific ancients (the old folks that are still there from the Marathon era), bring it to PAX with a pre-paid and pre-addressed FedEx (or other shipper) box and a well-written request for the signatures (going on at length about how much of a fan you are wouldn't hurt). Then if you see a Bungie member and can strike up a good conversation with them, ask them about your wish and see if they are willing to take your package, get the sigs and ship it back to you. It wouldn't hurt to bribe them with jerky. They LOVE jerky. No guarantees, but if you show that much initiative, love for their games, and are lucky, very lucky.... you might get something really cool to show your kids.

    • I'll be there. I don't count as retro though. I wasn't quite 2 years old when the company was founded =)
