Do you believe there should be more of these? Minecraft was a huge success and Kenshi has extreme potential. Do you believe games should be released during alpha and updated so that the community has much more say in how the final product turns out?

Only if it's free (eg: Dota 2 Beta).
-
I disagree, but I'm pretty sure you people don't, considering how you ejaculate to Halol 2 which was and still is practically an alpha stage game.
-
No, because then you get cash grabs like terraria where the dev promises a bunch of shit then never delivers because they made all the money they wanted off it.
-
Yes, most definitely. That's what Bohemia is doing with ARMA III, and it seems to be working out quite well.
-
No. The developers should release the game in alpha or beta and then leave it that way. Sonic '06 did this, and look at the masterpiece it is!
-
As long as it's significantly cheaper if you buy into an Alpha, and get the full game free. As long as the dev advertises it as being an alpha/beta, and doesn't just ship out an unfinished game claiming it 'just needs a few updates'.

Maybe only for Arcade games and MMO's but not for retail games.

I like it! Playing games that evolve over time is fun to watch.. I have The Dead Lingor Alpha and the StarForge alpha currently.

No. It's absolutely retarded how people pay money for what is essentially an extended Beta test, not unlike Halo 4.
