The Minuum Keyboard Project

I'd just like to share this with you guys. Pretty cool and ambitious project. Transcript stolen from reddit user /u/throwaway3m3v2x:
Let's talk about...mobile typing. On your phone, on your tablet. It gets in your way, it slows you down. You wouldn't be happy with your keyboard blocking half your desktop screen, so we thought about this long and hard. Why is the keyboard this way? It goes back to the typewriter. Here we need big, spread out keys, because make a mistake here, and you're toast. So why are we still pretending that a typewriter fits mobile devices? Hi, I'm Will Walmsley, and I'm here to tell you that we can do better than this. We can use the smart in smartphones to make a smaller keyboard, where you don't need to be precise. Say hello to Minuum, the little keyboard for big fingers. Minuum is not just a bunch of keys, it's a continuum of letters, and it's based on the QWERTY keyboard that you're used to, so you don't have to change the way you type. You used to have to choose between accuracy and speed, but with Minuum, typing fast is not a problem. When you're typing, you don't always hit the letter you aim for, and there's nothing wrong with that. We designed Minuum from the ground up, to allow delightfully fast sloppy typing, on as small a keyboard as you want. With Minuum anticipating and adapting to your needs, you can type quickly, easily, and accurately, all while reclaiming your precious screen space, and typing passwords is just as easy, with a magnefied view availible at every touch. And it doesn't stop there. The simplicity of a continuum of letters allows you to type in some exciting new ways. Think about wearable computing. Have you ever considered how you might type on something like a watch, or glasses, or even a ring? Minuum works on all of these devices, and more. We've been developing and testing our core technologies for the past two years, and now we're ready to bundle them into versions for you to use. We're close, but we need your help to bring mobile typing everywhere. Tell your friends, we'd appreciate any support you could give us. Thanks
What do you guys think of this?

 • So it's a sophisticated autocorrect feature? Apps like Swiftkey collect typing data from users and predict words already, so I'm not sure how revolutionary this actually is. Also, I'll buy a smartphone with a physical keyboard for as long as they're offered. I absolutely hate virtual keyboards.
