Destiny Wishlist

Yes, it's true, another Destiny wishlist thread :) This time around though I'll do my best to differ this one a bit for the sake of us and, hopefully, for Bungie. Anyways, ladies (if there are any), gents, and trolls, allow me to enlighten you. At this short period of time in Destiny's development Bungie is most likely still able to make fairly drastic changes to their upcoming universe. Also at this time we, as a community, are knowledgeable enough of said universe to understand its very basics and potentially contribute suggestions that may or may not be added into the final product. Below I will organize your guys' wishes based on their popularity with everyone else. If all goes well, we should end up with a sturdy list of hopes and dreams that are convenient to look at. With no further ado, I'll start us off: Massive Worlds You can travel to any place in sight. Some areas may only be accessible through the use of certain vehicles, but are always reachable. The ENTIRE City can be ventured through as well as any planet. Spacecraft should be able to travel from planet to planet seamlessly, and even enter the atmosphere. In-Depth Skill Trees Upgrade/customization system with varying skill trees based on class that branch out into several differentiating strands. Like Borderlands/Skyrim on steroids. Unique Unscripted Events Anything can happen at any time. Missions aren't simply go here, kill that, and be done. They should have more than one outcome at the end and be able to be handled in multiple ways (like Dishonored). Random encounters that are rare and different from any other; something that very well might only happen once. Crafting and Armor Customization The ability to forge your own weapons and armors with materials of your choice and with a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and skins. Make your own designs, similar to the Forza Horizon design creator. Varying HUD Imagine if helmet customization went beyond just appearance and stats. What if you visuals changed depending on the helmet and visor worn. For instance, the actual helmet itself will cause the outline from your view to change. Also, visors could be swapped out in the helmet to provide different perks. A sniper visor could enhance zoom in range while an engineer one could display more panels to keep check on equipment. Land, Air, and Water Combat In atmosphere aircraft, land vehicles, boats, and (obviously) foot soldiers all fighting in either PvE or PvP. A Battlefield like warzone. Four Player Split Screen Good ole four player split screen. Hardcore Stats Stats available on Bnet and in-game that range from favorite weapons and personal play style to how many games a certain faction has won and everything in between. Auction House Area in the City where items can be put on the market to be fought over (through bidding) by buyers.

 • I want to be able to engage anyone in combat wherever I'm at. I've always found a dedicated PVP area nonsensical. It doesn't make sense that in an FPS I can't shoot someone. I know the response to this is that others wish to not engage in combat out in the wild. Well what if there was a bounty system in place? For example, You're out in the wild with your friends working on a mission, when suddenly a more powerful opponent appears and attacks all of you. You as a team try and tackle him (creating an individual nonscripted yet thrilling experience) However, for this example you and your team are too weak and die. How is this fun for the weaker players? What is the incentive for the stronger player to attack them? Well whenever a stronger player attacks a weaker player he should have diminishing returns the lower the level of the attacked player. If a strong player kills a weak player he should be barely rewarded and punished more so. He collects "bounty points" as his unjust kill count rises his "bounty points" could rise thus making him a target for other players who bounty hunt. As the bounty grows so should the ease of tracking of the player-again to make it a double edged sword to attack the peaceful players- If he visits a city an alert is sent to the hunters or to a hub of some sort. ETC. Imagine hopping online and researching at a local city the highest bounties of players last scene in the area. This could grow the "fame" of certain high level players. Shifting/changing the world much like bungie has expressed it wants to happen. You as a player can choose to be a bad guy/challenge the bad guys or simply avoid them or get blasted. Up to you. Also back to the original example. Say one of the team escapes dying from the attack. Possibly he could be a witness and hire a bounty hunter or wait for his buds to respawn and try and track the attacker. I know that was a jumbled mess but I want players to be able to attack each other with in-game consequences good or bad for their actions. It would make for a much more immersive experience rather than simply "an arena" or the woodlands where you can fight each other.
