Your views on Halo 2 Anniversary?
Would you want a Halo 2 Anniversary? I would want it if they included a full multiplayer mode remastered like the campaign. The gun sounds need to be the same as well. If ANY of the glitches are removed (superbouncing, stairway to heaven) I will also be angry. Maybe for the online mode there can be an option to change the graphics from new to old in between matches. And all of the H2 maps (inc dlc) should be on disk from launch. What do you think, Flood?

The multiplayer was quite flawed yes. But god flood I just want the campaign. The story, the characters, the new setting and the missions were great and so much fun. I just want the campaign with new graphics.

Edited by Al-B-Querky: 1/19/2013 2:34:16 AMIf halo 2 anniversary was somehow released, full, separate online of old, it would only verify what a terrible game halo 2 was online and shut out all the nostalgia of what people remembered. It would be played by many at first, everyone happy, but after the nostalgia wears off, it'll just become another "meh" shooter. Don't get me wrong, I played halo 2 to death, and loved every minute of the experience, but moving forward you can see how flawed the game was. I rather keep halo 2's online in my memories. Basically, it won't be the great thing people would think it would be, or remember it the same for long.

1 ReplyNo thanks. 343 isn't going to split their fanbase with Halo 4. It would just be an "add on" like Combat Evolved Anniversary was to Reach. Halo 2 remake would just be a remade campaign with Multiplayer Maps thrown into Halo 4 matchmaking.

If it's just like Halo:CEA, then... *throws money at 343* I'mma buy it. I really enjoyed what they did with CE. And I'm sure I'd enjoy a remastered version of Halo 2.

I would love that. Halo 2 may be the single best Halo game in terms of art design (art includes all aesthetics including visual art, story and music), and seeing it on the Xbox 365 would be a dream come true.

343 needs to move on and not be restricted to remaking outdated games.

If Halo 2's multiplayer was made accessible again there wouldn't be any reason to make any more Halo games.

Otherwise, absolutely not. CEA was abomination. I could go into why I think that but [url=http://badcyborg.net/CEA/CampaignThoughts.html]this[/url] is sufficient. I'm convinced they made it for the crowd that spends a month with a game and then is done with it rather than the die hard fans who have been playing it years after it's release. If Halo 2 Anniversary is made, this is how it should be done: -don't use the Vista port! -fix only the following: Heretic Elites being damaged when taking cover, Heretic Elites lacking melee range, plasma pistol glow and projectile model -adjust the boss fights: lower the death barrier at the Tartarus fight, make the Heretic boss fight play out like on Easy (you kill him, he's dead), provide a crate with beam rifles at the Tartarus fight -make new models for characters and vehicles. Don't reuse them from past games -personally, I'd like the ground to remain unchanged in the new graphics. Who wants to see pointless tall grass build up on Delta Halo's level top? Weed infestation on Uprising? I certainly don't -personally I want to see them implement repeating checkpoints (like in CE, Reach, and Halo 3). That added to replayability immensely. Taken out in Halo 4, such a shame

It won't happen. 343i is going out of business. Didn't you hear? Halo 4 was such a huge failure, they all killed themselves.

I wouldn't mind. Seeing how there was that recent article about Halo 2 being shut-down FOREVER. So I could see this happening.

No. Absolutely not. 343 would pull a CEA again so it would be completely tainted, I want to keep my memories of Halo 2 not corrupted by terrible cut/paste models and a bad graphical rework (cough CEA cough). It wouldn't have H2 multiplayer so even if it does come out don't expect there to be MP, it'd have whatever trash H5 would have tacked on. Plus obvious milk is obvious, CEA was understandable since it was the 10 year anniversary of the franchise.

As long as they handle the campaign the same way they did with CE, then I would be happy. Actual Halo 2 multiplayer would be nice, but it's almost definitely not going to happen.

If they make it they have to do what they did with CEA. NOT CHANGE ANYTHING! I honestly don't want them to include multiplayer because I know they will mess it up somehow.
