I have no idea what following people do. And nobody is following me yet. (hint)
So does having followers mean anything to you? Does it make you post more? Or does it make you think about the quality of your posts?
-
It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, like someone actually cares <3
-
It will when I have the ability to spam them with images of my ass.
-
No. I'm here to read and reply.
-
Honestly? I wouldn't say I don't care necessarily. It's not super important obviously, but it's good to know you're interesting. For example, fishtaters. Nobody expected me to say that, I'm sure. How interesting! And perhaps I gave a giggle to anybody following me that read this. That's how I roll. It's an interesting feature. I'm excited to see how it works out. Until then? ANTHROPOMORPHISM!!!

I don't think any of my followers really care that much about my posts (or will even see them), but it actually makes me want to post less.
-
I don't know. I really have no idea. I've never posted that much really.
-
It makes me feel warm and tingly inside. Especially when it's someone I think is cool.
-
It really is just nice to see how many people are my friend on here. :D
-
Absolutely not. I hope nobody follows me.
-
I follow people for something like a bnet friends list. If someone follows me I could care less, yet possibly become paranoid....
-
I wouldn't know, nobody like me enough to follow me ):
-
Personally I'm treating the following function as a way to keep track of the few members I recognized before they had the ability to change there name. But to answer your question, no It doesn't mean anything to me as it is I wouldn't expect me to follow the ramblings I post of Bungie.net.
-
I don't anticipate many people needing to find out what I'm saying lately. You shouldn't feel bad about it, I won't. The most popular folks will always be the guys that post 5+ times on every thread, which doesn't make much sense for a need to follow their words. idk, It's damn interesting. Titles are one thing, but follows really show popularity. It's all fun in my book, I ain't hating. I do however seem to be posting more than ever for this beta. It's seems a lot easier to blend and not make a stir by posting. I'm really starting to like the changes. Quality? nah, I may post more for right now, but my post quality won't change much.
-
It means some people on the internet like me. i <3 them too
-
Nope.
-
It has a lot to do with one's e-peen. You guys wouldn't understand.

When you click on "Bungie" on the top left of the screen and then go to "Activity", you see the recent activity of groups and people that you're following. When you decide to follow someone, you're deciding to include them on your Activity page.
So does having followers mean anything to you? Does it make you post more? Or does it make you think about the quality of your posts?
Good question, having followers makes me feel more connected to the community but it doesn't affect the quantity or quality of my posts. Because of Bungie.net's system of being able to to hide and mute members, I think I'm more careful to keep a good reputation.

I still post the same stupid crap I always post.
-
Well, it lets me know people like me

Edited by JFKES: 1/12/2013 9:57:31 PMFollowing makes all threads by the person you follow have a blue line next to it. Having followers only means some people recognize me and I guess somewhat care about what I have to say. Or at least they do if they view following in a similar way to me. It doesn't make me post more or think about the quality of my posts more as I posted a ton anyway, and I would always think about the post quality before doing so. Basically it's a nice addition that doesn't really change anything. Popularity threads will be interesting though. (Oh and if you want someone to follow you, I don't mind doing so, but I'll probably stop following you once I hit the limit - if indeed I ever do so).
-
It means people are interested enough in what I am doing to follow. I don't really care all that much.
-
It makes me feel fuzzy.
-
Oh I gotcha. ;) *Mutes* OT: It doesn't really mean anything, but it's nice to see people take the time.
