Elemental Armor?

Should Bungie add elements to armors!? It would make pve and pvp more complicated, but it would add a whole world of different builds and playstyles! If this is an MMOFPS, armors should include elements! Ofcourse we need to tread the middle ground and not make it where a single piece of void armor, like a helm for example, will decrease the damage of void weapons substantially. But i can see where wearing a full set of void armor could drastically decrease the effect of void weapons but make it weaker against other type of weapons. Some types of armor can have a combination of elements but possibly not more than 2 with decreased effects of both elements compared to one that is dedicated to one element. The possibilities are endless!! Your thoughts?
