OMG the 7th colomn seriously looks and feels like poo.....All the clans i take part in such as (Front Range Company 7, ColdFire Squad, and Warriors of Jlarro are all useless now because of this new design...CFS and FRC7 had to revert to seperate selfmade websites just to set up events....Bungie although i dont enjoy the 7th colomn anymore thanks for the effort, but for the love of god improve the 7th colomn to atleast the point of where it was before.

Anyways, don't complain please, it's really rather pointless to on this site and in the real world. Yes, you can let Bungie know what you think should be improved and added to the column, but don't complain to them because they probably won't listen then.

But it just seems whenever somebody suggests something, some guy will come up and say how impossible it would be to do that, or they might even go so far as to just mention how the new stuff makes up for what was lost.

Some of the improovements were great and all, but I still don't understand why making this new format more like the old will screw everything up. Is the column going to crash if Bungie were to put in the sidebars, the activo meter or the front page poll? Well if it would I'll try to understand. Put your conspiracy caps on, becuase I'm starting to get the feeling that Bungie is turning the 7th column from a fan congregation headquarters to a halo2 stats board. There aren't any themes other than the default- so everything looks the same-something that made the 7th column what it is (the customization). I think people were expecting new features, new formats, and saw just an updated 7th column with all content moved over. I think if we received (specific) information that would let us know what was coming to the groups (specific stats, new features, theme builders, etc.) it would help out a bit. Suggestions: Make the theme builder about 1000 times easier to build theme's with. If each group could have it's online HALO 2 logo on their site. Give the group some sort of email newsletter capability. (Give the admin more tools to try and draw it's members back into the group and keep them active)

Agreed...Bungie aren't going to listen to someone complaining because he doesn't like [b]their[/b] site. But they might be willing to listen should you actually suggest an improvement, instead of saying how crap everything is, and then maybe the kind people who maintain this [b]free[/b] site will make appropriate changes.

I find that the improved forum functionality easily makes up for any losses (such as the Events sidebar) incurred in the transition. That said, why not actually suggest some possible improvements instead of complaining? [Edited on 10/4/2004 11:26:49 AM]

The first time I logged onto the new hawtness I felt the same way. After giving the new system a chance I quickly changed my mind. I think that the new hawtness is as usefull as a doorstop when trying to keep a door open. It's simple, it does the job without having to worry about it failing, and it works.

I still like it - I just miss all the custom hacks from the old one, however I suspect that the hacks contributed to the failure of the older system.

The new Column won't be like the old Column because the old Column is unsustainable. However, the team would like to hear your feedback and will work as hard as possible to implement features which the community would like. However, saying that it looks and feels like poo isn't very helpful.
