Bungie Weekly Update
In this weeks update, we concentrate almost exclusively on the new Halo 2 maps, announced this morning. Lots o' details inside!

[/quote] yes u can sell off your 360 with the maps, then when u get your elite you will have to BUY the maps again if you want them. you can put the maps on 100 consoles if you wanted the only catch is you have to pay for them each time u download them.

I'm not sure if this already has been asked and answered before, but I'm planning to sell my original 360 in order to purchase the Xbox 360 Elite that comes out April 29. Now the two new halo 2 maps come out April 17. My question to you guys is, can I purchase the maps on my original 360 then buy and download them on the elite again? If I can't purchase them on both, should I not download them on my original 360 and just wait twelve days after the new maps come out and purchase them my 360 Elite? Thanks.

Well I thought you wanted to talk about the new maps??? So why don’t we call a truce??? I for one am excited about the maps. I like both Derelict and Hang ‘em High, though I am more excited about Hang ‘em High. The small to medium sized symmetrical maps like Warlock, Foundation and Sanctuary typically aren’t my favorite maps. I wish there were more maps like Headlong, Lockout, Ivory Tower, Zanzibar and Terminal…especially Lockout and Terminal…Hell, with as long as Halo 2 has been an online success you’d think they would have kept cranking out new maps until we had like 30 or so…I mean we can put a man on the moon but we can't have 30 multiplayer maps for Halo after 2 ½ years??? Don’t get me wrong, I'm very grateful that Bungie is putting out these two new maps especially with Halo 3’s imminent release this fall, I just think that it wouldn't have killed them to have put out a few more. I know a lot goes into map making, but they could just hire me, I would love to work on creating maps all day everyday, I’d even do it for only $35K a year…I’d make a map with a big crane that had a big net or something hoisting a bunch of big crates in the air, and you could go into the operators cab of the crane hit a button and drop all the crates on any unsuspecting people walking below and crush them…that would be cool...but I digress…. Bottom line is that Bungie made the right choice by making the new maps work with the old Xbox. If they didn’t do it this way then the whole Halo 2 multiplayer world would be split up between the beta people, the new maps on the 360 people and the same old maps on the same old Xbox people…that would have been weird…I wouldn't see some of my friends until fall… M. Power.

well firstly im not really going to apologize, for u obviously had enough time, to go look at my profile then put your insults into a post, then obviously had enough time to go and edit your post or u could have just kept working and checked it all out on lunch break or a netcafe, noone here is a mind reader noone knows what your doing to post on the forums, when u do get some spare time go back and look at the amount of times the smae question was asked and the amount of times myself and others had to repeat ourselves, it gets tiring it really does, i know i dont have to be here replying to people but i was looking to talk about the new maps. personally i love both those maps from halo ce and im also happy that ranks are being reset :) thats in the newest update if u havnt had a chance to read it.

Well you guys were being douche bags. The web site layout is new and I had no idea that those white boxes at the top left of the home page each represent an update. I was at work sitting at my desk looking over my shoulder to make sure the douche bags that I work with didn’t see me on a 'game' site. Having to be that sneaky means I didn’t have time to read every single posting or scour the web site to find the info I needed (dont have a computer at home either). So I composed an email in Microsoft Outlook so people at work would think I was writing an email to a broker or something. I then cut-and-pasted what I wrote into a post. I went through all that trouble thinking that my Halo buddies would help a working brother out...but what do I get??? I get called lazy and half retarded...where's the love???

And on an unrelated matter: Why come when I'm trying to message a friend while matchmaking is searching for players and then swithches from level 2 to level 3, why does it kick me out of messaging and not save all the crap I just typed to my buddy? Just because matchmaking switches from level 2 to level 3 before I am done doesn't mean that what I was typing wasn't important and or short enough to NOT be a pain in the ass to have to type over (on the "virtual keyboard" mind you)!!! The friends list on Halo 2 is great but it could use some touching-up for Halo 3. Just some simple things. Let me know if you want my help (I have a lot of good ideas).
