(AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and international version of the S3 all have their own unique firmware.)
I dunno, I use the 10.1 nightlies on my Nexus 4 as my daily driver. Rarely have an issue. OP- it's important you flashed the right version for your phone. Did you also flash gapps? The stock kernel should work with CM10 just fine on the S3, so I don't think that would be a problem.

I've been using it since the first builds came out a few weeks ago, and it's perfectly acceptable for every day use.
Which carrier do you have? I've got an AT&T S3 - after installing the 05-01-13-nightly build, I noticed quite a few bugs immediately. It's more stable than it was a month ago, but I can't use it as my daily yet.
I have the ATT build and I don't notice any significant bugs. What did you see?
Main one, as I said above, is bluetooth. I also found the lock screen and CRT screen-off animations weren't quite right. Sometimes the CRT animation didn't show, and I'd often have to press buttons multiple times to turn the lock screen on while the phone was asleep. The latter two aren't such a big deal, and I'd easily have overlooked them if bluetooth was more stable.

 •
Posted by: MadMax888 Ugh. These bluetooth stacks are a nightmare. I don't even know whose fault it is; Google, the phone manufacturer, or the bluetooth chip manufacturer. I run into this all the time with fitness apps and trackers; they only work with certain Android phones where the bluetooth communicates properly.
From what I've read, many devs are blaming Google, but who knows; it's probably a combination of all three. It's just a little frustrating because I use bluetooth for almost everything: music and hands free calling in my car, streaming to my stereo system in the house, etc., and it's been hit-or-miss lately.

 • Turn it off and on. Solves it for me 99% of the time.

There's still quite a few problems on the S3 (AT&T build at least), including a broken bluetooth stack.
Ugh. These bluetooth stacks are a nightmare.
