http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/08/valve-backed-hardware-to-appear-at-ces-2013 The more I read about what Valve is trying to do the more curious I get.
This article talks about a computer that fits in your palm but is more powerful than a gaming console. How the hell is that going to work?
You know how Valve could blow the industry away with this new console they are bringing out? Announce that Half-Life 3 is a console exclusive that is only on their console. Hell I'd buy one.

Honestly this device is blurring the lines between Computer and Console, but technically it's still a Computer. It just looks to have the same accessibility of the console (e.g. ease of use, brand recognition, TV gaming etc). [Edited on 01.08.2013 8:38 AM PST]

Is it supposed to be a PC/console hybrid?

Well I'll be using Nvidia's Shield so this is out of the question for me. Anyone getting this likely doesn't already have a Gaming PC. It will also likely be missing some of the great things about PCs, but we must wait to see. Just the thought of no customization and possibly no mods? I'll wait to see but I hope that won't be the case.

I've got a feeling it'll be a game changer.
Posted by: ArchNinja64 It wont be a big deal at all. I personally couldn't care less about it, and I doubt there is even a good amount of people that are more interested in this than a next gen Xbox.
I hope it is. At this point there isn't anything really keeping me tied to LIVE and when my subscription runs out this year I won't be renewing it. Halo 5 will have to look reaaaaaally good for me to want to buy a next gen xbox. If Valve's console is set up with steam, and they get it out before the other next gens, it'll blow them out of the water. I'm rootin for ya Gabe.

I love the design.

I hope it is a huge success. [Edited on 01.08.2013 7:40 AM PST]

If HL3 was an exclusive, if the 'console' was more powerful than the 365, if Destiny was available on it, then there's a decent chance I might actually forgo the 365 until Halo 5 launches. And I need a decent controller. [Edited on 01.08.2013 7:40 AM PST]

I hope it is a big deal. I would love to make the 720 and PS4 look like jokes in comparison.

I have 110 Steam games. If they were all controller compatible and fit in my living room I would never leave the house. So it will probably be a big deal.
