Discuss everything headphone related.
Computer-wise, I use a USB headset with a microphone my dad gave me. It's years old, but still works great.
iPhone-wise (inb4productwarsinb4opcantinb4), I've gone through many sets of earbuds. I bought two pairs today to replace my old pair, one Sony, one Phillips, same price. Bought both because I couldn't decide which, figured I'd use one pair (I'm testing out the Sony right now) and wait until it died, than use the other and mentally compare them.

I have some Turtle Beach PX5's that I use for gaming, I did have some Astro A40's but honestly I prefer the headphones I have now, they have better quality surround sound, more features with the presets etc and the wireless works a lot better via Bluetooth. I've been looking at those A50's though and they look pretty sweet.

For in ear, apple ear phones are pretty good, and easily replaceable. However, over the ear head phones master race. I got a pair back in May, and my god they're amazing. Sennheiser Hd55. I almost prefer it over listening to speakers.

I purchased a pair of Sing Piiq earbuds, and they are really resound and crisp. Orig. about $25.98, I got them for $8.98. Great sound and price. I hate the default Apple white earbuds..

Used to have Toxic headphones

I had a few pairs of Beats by Dre headphones (Mixr's, Studio's, and Wireless) - which I later on sold on eBay - but then realized I get the same quality with the Apple EarPods (which are great earphones, IMO). And after working @ Best Buy for five to six months, I realized that I deal with customers who complain about the Beats (sound quality, hardware, etc.) more than any other headphone product. I probably should try out Bose.

I use my earforce X 11s. They're great for the price.

I know nothing of headphone but the best feeling is when you use crappy earbuds for a couple of months then get a good pair of headphones. Its like hearing sound for the first time again. Awesome feeling.
Posted by: SQWABYSQWAB
Posted by: TedToaster22 Okay, I've had two experiences with earbuds, maybe someone can help me out. Either the sound is perfectly normal and has good clarity (i.e. my proper headphones, old earbuds) or it seems muffled, almost as if the bass has been amplified or something (i.e. the Sony ones I tested out, default iPhone 4S buds). Any explanation?
It's either the fit you're getting, or it might also be the fact both of those have an obscene amount of bass.
Any ideas as to how to fix?

Poor thing :( There isn't a better gaming headset that is easily used across PC, PS3 and Xbox. Hell, the A50s are better than every single Xbox 360 marketed headset... Sound quality is near enough to audiophile levels.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650 headphones connected to a Schiit Asgard headphones amplifier. I wouldn't recommend investing in such gear if the music you listen to doesn't have proper mastering or if you listen to highly compressed audio files. In case you're wondering, most popular music has absolutely atrocious mastering. Some electronic music and some old bands (Pink Floyd, for instance) have great mastering, though, good sound isn't exclusive to recent recordings of Erudite music. You will never have lived if you don't listen to a 24-bit @ 96kHz recording (DVD-Audio) of Bach's Great Fantasy in G minor with some proper audio equipment. It's exceptionally amazing.

Well you should invest in headphones because earbuds just are bothersome to stay in your ear to me. Most of the Headphones I DJ with are Pioneer or Skullcandys. The Irony of Beats though is how its a line of headphones made by a DJ but hardly any DJ's use them lol. Some of the major popular DJ's may use them because there getting sponsored by them. Turtle Beach X31's for the xbox. (I've had them for over two years and they still work great!) Steelseries Siberia V2 for my PC (Good headset for the price, very comfortable.) a-JAYS One for my phone (Good sound quality and they don't tangle.)
