I've been having a craving to play a lot Skyrim again in the last few days. My question: will Dawnguard/House-building DLC add to the game significantly for me and hold my interest? For those who bought it, was it a worthy purchase?

I haven't gotten Dawnguard yet. I still want to finish the main game. The Hearthfire DLC is pretty good, though. It is kind of difficult to do some stuff though because there really isn't any explanation.
-
I personally enjoy Hearthfire.
-
I'd advise the Dawnguard DLC, and then wait for Dragonborn to be released. Hearthfire is fun, but it's nothing really expansive.
-
Dawnguard's ok though I find it odd that they decided to add some random -blam!- with vampires rather than developing some of the lore that already appears in the game. The houses you get from Hearthfire are better than the ones that you can get in each city but, aside from this, it's pretty pointless.

I'm disappointed you practically can't kill half of the npcs in Skyrim...
-
Heartfire does add quite a long time on the game. It might be mind numbing work but the hours will fly.
-
If Skyrim was a duck I'd kill it and eat it.

Save your money for a better game DLC.

Skyrim is homos3xual. I expected better from Bethesda. [Edited on 11.20.2012 2:16 AM PST]

Dawnguard's quests are really more of the same, just in prettier environments. The rewards for the quests tend to be quite good though. For the vampire side anyway.
-
Dawnguard is awesome and adds a pretty unique companion. Hearthfire is cool if you're into that sort of thing. I've enjoyed both DLCs.
-
Get em both, it'll give you plenty to keep your hands full.
-
Dawnguard is pretty cool, and Hearthfire is only like five bucks so you aren't really wasting much.

Dawnguard: Yes others: no

I would suggest Dawnguard, then just wait until the Dragonborn DLC is released.
