So what do you guys think about halo 4?
Is it like halo 3 in any way. Is it good as halo 3? What do you guys think?
I don't really like it, it copied cod in many ways but it also didn't stick with the classic halo formula like halo 1,2,3 and reach(in some ways). If they did and built onto it a little bit like halo 3 but preserving the classic halo formula maybe halo 4 would be better than halo 3. To bad it didn't. Looks like that unique halo everyone loved is now a copy other games formula. Man I miss when halo was good!
just want to point this out:

e.g call of duty stays the same and didn't get boring to tons of people
e.g halo 2,3 they were different .but dtayed with the classic formula and loads of people kept playing them till new halo games released. Halo 3 holded 100k just before reach took over and halo reach barely holded 60k just before halo 4 released! What does that tell you...?

I can't describe it other then complete disappointment. I plan to focus on enjoying the game rather than playing competitive because the lag seems to be very poor for me. My main concern is the maps. They kind of suck...and the DLC maps all look asymmetrical and random. Some maps are plauged by the spawn system and lack of objective (incentive to move). [Edited on 12.04.2012 9:57 PM PST]

What do I think of Halo 4? It's great and all but I'd pay ANYTHING to have it on PC (heck, even Halo Reach would be great on PC).

I have played Halo 3 avidly since 2008 (ever since I got a 360). Halo 3 has been my favorite multiplayer game and it offers the best, most balanced, and most competitive gameplay. That being said I really do enjoy Halo 4 multiplayer. I think it is extremely well done so far. I think it really feels balanced and every weapon has a purpose. I prefer the BR to the DMR of course. With a couple updates with a true ranking system and some more competitive maps it will be Halo 3's successor. I am really surprised how well 343 pulled it off. I even like all the loadouts and CoD like additions that was skeptical about at first.

I don't like it and until they add 1-50 I'm going to primarily spend my time in Black Ops 2. Halo 4 has the worst lag and hit detection I have ever seen in a game. The killcams are laughable as to how off they are. LOVED the campaign. Don't like the multiplayer. I'd rather have firefight then Spartan Ops, but at least the Episode cutscenes make up for it a little. >Apparently I posted in this thread a while back. I honestly don't like the multiplayer. I'll get used to it. It's more about teamwork and less about individual skill. I honestly think it feels closest to Reach although I keep hearing how it reminds people of Halo 2 and 3. I just don't feel it's like them at all.

I do agree with your opinion in some ways, but look at the good things in Halo 4. It's a fresh new start for 343 they're a new game company sure they might of took ideas from COD, but being original some times isn't the best idea, all I'm saying is look at it in a new way think of the good, but also a little bit of the bad.
