HD Capture Card

I need some help picking out an HD capture card for my 360. I'm leaning towards the Elgato Game Capture HD, but I would like to see some second opinions. Any suggestions? And why would you recommend what you did?

  • Thank you, guys. I'll be researching these two cards tomorrow.

  • I have the Elgato myself. I can personally say that it's the best capture card I've owned. I would definitely recommend spending the little extra cash for it. It's the only HDMI capture card I've found that doesn't require you to split the HDMI signal. If you use HDMI to connect your Xbox to your TV then I wouldn't recommend getting anything other then the Elgato only because you'd either need to split your HDMI signal or switch to component. If you're using component or don't have HDMI as an option I've also used and can recommend the Hauppauge HD PVR. So basically: HDMI -> Elgato Component -> Hauppauge HD PVR
