It will easily be the best Halo game.
Firstly, I like how it takes elements from Call of Duty. Killcams are cool features that take up time to let you see your own death again. Hit markers make it easier for us people lacking eyes to see we're hitting our targets. Shield flare wasn't enough. Also taking the weapon camos was cool. I'm going to boost headshots with my friends now to unlock red camo for my SAW. Its also cool they named it the SAW because its like the SAW from CodD.
Additionally, I like how 343 added Armor Abilities. Armor Abilities are good because they make the game more random. Making the game more random makes it easier for lesser skilled players to beat better players. Skill shouldn't be the deciding factor in Matchmaking, it should be luck of the draw. My only complaint is that they didn't bring back Jetpack and Armor Lock. Sprint is my favorite because it allows me to escape fights that I'm loosing.
Another point would be dubstep. I think that they should get rid of all the traditional Halo music and make it all Skrillex. Skrillex is the best dubstep artist and his music would make Halo better for headshot montages.
Also, I'm glad they stole Killstreaks from CoD. Killstreaks are usually easy to get and they allow you to kill better players with more ease.
Honestly, why should I have to practice to be better than those stinking Tryhards? They should just make the game for us, make it easier. Its not my duty to practice and get better, I shouldn't have to use my talent and skill to win, I should be allowed to win through crutches.
Any who, any complaints I might have will be overhsadowed by all the totally sweet armor and camo's we get. I get to dress up my spartan how ever I want! This is what Halo should always have been about.
Posted by: masterdrone
Posted by: blackhawk945 It will never be like the original trilogy, nothing will be. I don't treat this game like a halo, but more of a spin off because the story of Halo ended with Halo 3. People can argue as much as they like that new developer came along and started it again from were chief was in cyro-sleep. But the original writers of the story, had it finished at Halo 3, were chief floats around asleep, and that's the story ended. The new enemy seems a little silly to me, how they teleport around and scream. I cant take them seriously. They have lost the character of chief in their attempt "to explore him as a character". This game will be fun yes, but it just cant be included with the series of other Halo's. Halo should of ended with anniversary, so it could of laid down peacefully and being remembered as a brilliant game series, it had its time. Now they're pushing it and finding a market in the younger kids who want to get into it. Not saying its a bad game, people just see it wrong.
There is no right way of seeing it. Some people like Star Wars, but prefer the expanded universe to the movies themselves. Some people see it all as one big universe. You could argue that the original trilogy will always be the real Halo, but in the end it doesn't really mean anything.
yeah true, I am known to not like change. My point was i dont see the game as it continuing the story, there were not plans for a fourth Halo when Halo 3 was released. I will play the game and enjoy it though.

The OP hasn't violated any rules I can see.

It's obvious you haven't played the game. I was just as skeptical as you. Played it at the EB expo and loved it. Give it some sort of True Skill like ranking system and you'll have me playing it for years.

6/10 A little too over the top, noticed about half way through the second paragraph.

It will not be. They always say that.

Love how your post was repoted for having an opinion in it. Here are the rules people! Read 'em! The only one the OP might have broken is: - Do not post false information or mislead other forum-goers. Yes, even if it is funny. But even that is debatable seeing as at least some people can notice sarcasm.

I fully agree with the OP, I don't know why some of you are calling it SPAM.

Everyone knows Bungie put the legendary ending in there to hint at a new story. People like you are afraid of change and continuation. You had a great game you loved and dont want it to get bad. You dont want it tonnished. You are also contradicting yourself by saying it will be a fun game, then implying that trilogy is going to be tonnished by Halo 4, making it a bad game. Grow up and let go of your grip on what you know and fear of the unknown.

I know this is just a troll, but there are people who actually think like this. First, hit markers arent CoD and are needed, especially for those with non HD monitors and are taking ranged shots unscoped. Camos wont involve any specific action, so no boosting. They're part of specializations which are leveling up paths. SAW = Squad Automatic Weapon. Just like real guns. Dont see how thats CoD even though M249 SAW is in it. Armour Abilities arent random. They are specific actions anyone can do and are constant. If you say its random because you dont know what you're gonna come up against, thats stupid because its like saying if someone picks up a weapon on a map that they are randomizing the encounter. Everyone has sprint now by default, so no escaping from battles. Dubstep isnt part of the main game soundtrack, thats a bonus remix that is seperate to the OST. The actual OST is traditional halo music. They arent killstreaks, they're ordinance drops and are balanced well, unlike CoD with its tactical nukes and stuff. Besides, they're only in some gametypes. Halo 4 is actually a great well balanced unique game and doesnt feel like CoD or Reach. Its insanely fun and competitive at the same time. I know this because i've played it.
-
You messed up on the SAW part. It doesn't come from Call of Duty, it stands for "Squad Automatic Weapon". 2/10 Poor effort. See me after class.
-
I'd say go -blam!- yourself, but judging from the massive amount of asshurt, I'd say Halo 4 has been -blam!- you in the ass for quite some time...

I'd say Halo games will never reach the popularity/fun they were in Halo 2/3. But Halo 4 is promising, a lot of people have said that their can't wait for the game after they got to try it out.
Posted by: jacob crawford Raptor has a point. I mean, utilizing elements people have proven time and time again they like only makes sens, really. You need to appeal to the majority of players in a game. Let's face it, this is what people want or not. The kill streaks make you focus on not dying, and doing the best you can. Kill cams bring in an element of fairness.
Agreed. Kill streaks bring out the best in players, easily. Let's face it, kill cams do too. Who wants to get killed by some nub who's running around like a retard with a sawed off shotgun? No one, so they try harder knowing they don't wanna die. It's a good thing.
