How Have you Grown as a Community Member?
So, it's pretty common knowledge that people mature and change over time. That still is true for people, well most people, even here in the internet. So my question to you, community, is how have you grown/evolved/changed/etc as a community member?
As for me, I'm ashamed to say I used to be one of those stereotypical Halo fanboys asking for the haunted helemt (even bargaining with Bungie at one point) only coming here to check my stats, and occasionally coming here to post ridiculous spam threads that had no meaning at all. But then I started posting and making friends here on b.net so everything changed. I even discovered that private groups had their own forums, who knew? Luckily, I'm not that awful member any longer and I intend to find a great way to contribute to our incredible community.
So, what about you? How have you grown?

I haven't been here nearly as long as others (not even two years at this point), but I'd like to think that the community (and the Gallery) has inspired me to be more upfront and passionate about what I do, and to keep on trucking when the times get tough. Oh, and it's given me a horrible sense of humour. How 'bout them puns?

I've seen that we are much more similar than we are different. I've grown up here with you guys, whether you knew it or not, and I hope to continue growing here. Once I've completed checklist of things to accomplish here on Bnet, I'll be very proud of this site. I was 29 when i first signed up to Bungie.net. Other than becoming cynical and jaded about online gaming, i don't think i've changed much.

I have grown here as I have grown in my own life. I joined here in Middle School, and it was a tumultuous time. I started participating in High School, and it was a stressful time. I relaxed a little more in College, and it was a great retreat. All the world's a stage, and I've just seen the first act and I'm waiting backstage for Act II. I have grown through a lot of things, but most of all, I have gained perspective. In life, and on these forums, my interaction here has helped me build a better view of the world and other people. We are all connected.

I don't know if I grew as a member. I certainly grew up as a Floodian and Bungie.net member, so there's that.

Let's see....back in '07, I didn't post all that much, in '08 I posted a little more, in '09 I posted a lot more, in '10, I posted a ton, in '11, I posted way too much, and now I run this joint. Oh, and I used to make Foman mad because I was always being dumb, but now I'm just stupid, so he doesn't get all that mad, sometimes. I mean, he still bans me, but not as much.

I know when things are starting to get negative in a thread, and know a variety of different ways to prevent such a thing from happening, from my experiences on the forums.

2004- members for like a week, posted in the wrong forums alot. 2005- Halo 2 was my life I was New Mombasa bound! And spelling errors abound. I used to rage debate in "Body Politic Hard." 2006- Thought group wars were important and the honor of my groups was above all else.
