Should I Buy H2V?

Should I buy Halo 2 Vista? One of the main reasons I would buy it is so that I could get achievements for playing Halo 2 and I miss playing Halo 2 on the Xbox.

 • No. Don't buy it. Message me and I'll link you to something.

 • I actually enjoyed it for the acheevs, and seeing some of the small but nice graphical improvements. I say if you have some extra money and can pick up the game for cheap, then its worth it. Especially if you really like halo 2

 •
Posted by: mooseifer69 Yea sorry I should have explained it better. I was in a hurry. I would post a link to TeamSpeak3 website ,but it might get me in trouble. I was just reprimanded for posting a link to my weirdmoose.net website so people could give me feed back on game variants they want. We hope to see you in Halo 2 soon.
\ Just send the OP a link to it in a private message. I don't think you can get in trouble for sending a link in a private message. I dunno though.

 •
Posted by: Wilis_kid In-game VOIP for Halo 2 Vista is broken. Teamspeak works fine. He's saying if you wish to join their teamspeak (a separate VOIP client) then you can, which will allow you to talk to many gamers - an alternative to the broken VOIP in H2V.
Now some of this stuff is starting to make sense to me...
Posted by: Augur
Posted by: mooseifer69 It can be fun if you have a headset and join our teamspeak. 216.144.244.130 pw = oldmenrule We had 59 players alone in my servers the other day, yes this is small compared to the ole days. Still we have a lot of fun and I have a vip server where we play Zombies and Cat and Mouse. I also have a rainman and violent cart achievment server. Most ppl waste over $15.00 on food that is gone down the drain by the next day.
Sounds fun, but didn't the update screw up being able to talk to people? In all honesty I have no idea what I'm talking about, all my knowledge is from the FAQ and other threads that I've decided to lurk in...
In-game VOIP for Halo 2 Vista is broken.
Posted by: Augur
Posted by: Dr Syx There's barely anyone on at all. It never even breaks 50 people anymore and all the servers are pretty much the same. It's not worth it at all. 90% of this forum will agree with this. If you still have Halo 2 on the Xbox, try using Xbox Connect or Xlink Kai instead. They're free and there are more people playing those than Halo 2 Vista.
What's Xbox Connect and Xlink Kai? OT: IMO,if you think that the achievements are worth $15, go ahead and buy the game.
Tunneling programs that essentially trick the Xbox into thinking it's connected to other Xbox's locally (System Link) when in fact, you're connected to people around the world. In other words, they're programs that can let you play System Link online on Halo 2 Xbox.

 •
Super PolarBear
Are there enough people for it to be fun and not a complete bore or if I buy it should I try and coerce some of my friends to buy it too so there are actually people to play with?

 •
Posted by: Officer Branley One of the main reasons I would buy it is so that I could get achievements for playing Halo 2
There are 20 campaign achievements. The only semi-challenging ones are completing the game on legendary difficulty and acquiring the scarab gun. There are 21 multiplayer achievements. The only semi-challenging ones are Rainman (play every available game variant, with at least 3 other players, to the end of each game) and Decorated Soldier (get awarded at least 8 different medals in one non-team game).
Posted by: Officer Branley and I miss playing Halo 2 on the Xbox.
I was a very active H2V player from 2007-2010 and I can tell you that it wasn't what it used to be when I left years ago. Now that it is 2012, I can guarantee you that the player population is extremely small. H2V fails to recreate the Xbox glory days of Halo 2 on XBL, but it will feed you nostalgia if your PC can run it.
