I joined the New Monarchy today...
I joined the New Monarchy today. You Dead Orbit & Osiris peons will suffer. Future War Cult, we have our eye on you. We are negotiating an alliance with the Seven Seraphs.
* I totally made all that up but it's fun to start thinking ahead.
I wonder if these factions will be less like Alliance & Horde in WoW and more like Companions, Thieves, College of Winterhold, etc in Skyrim. In other words you could join more than one and it's not an "us vs. them" idea.

1 ReplyI'm going to go out on a limb and say Dead Orbit and Future War Cult are the bad guys. New Monarchy is probably the good empire who is under attack from these terrorists, and Osiris is basically ONI. Dunno about Seven Seraphs. I'll go with the good guys, unless one of the bad guys has a really awesome arsenal. Or, I'll take over Dead Orbit and rule the galaxy with our awesome insignia. [Edited on 07.11.2012 8:34 AM PDT]

There are good reasons to believe these "factions" are important (e.g. the shirts). But other than that it's all speculation. Nevertheless I'm sad to report negotiations with the Seven Seraphs have reached an impasse. An egotistical belief in their divine right to rule the galaxy made discussions nearly impossible.

Wow this thread has grown beyond what I imagined! It's true we have no idea how this will all work. How much backstory does each of these groups already have? I can't wait to see what happens! Truth be told, I chose my "faction" simply because it's what Jason Jones wears in the "O Brave New World" vidoc.
