• I'm here because I read about Bungies plan for world domination. I considered the way my life was going for a bit, so I have decided it is much more interesting being a pawn in an evil plot. -Vella [Edited on 8/21/2004 11:06:16 PM]

 • I'm reasonably new, as I found Bungie after seeing a link to one of the weekly updates. I sadly only started looking at the forums about a month of two ago. And I also bought a Gamecube first, although I'm not too terribly sad about it... besides Halo, it's actually more worth it. Or, at least it was until I got X-Box Live. I'm just glad I got my X-Box for free from the world's lamest school fundraiser. [Edited on 8/19/2004 1:31:56 AM]

 • I read on various gamesites how great Halo is, even read quite a bit of Halo fanfic on halo.bungie.org--before I had an Xbox. I made the (not terrible, but not admirable) mistake of buying the Gamecube at launch instead of the Microsoft paperweight. So I spent a few weeks playing Rogue Squadron II off and on when I could have been playing Halo all that time. Aside: I'm playing Legendary for the fifteenth time now, after doing Normal and Heroic twice each. I'm making up for the lost time, I suppose. Anyway, I visited bungie.com and bungie.net several times but didn't think to sign in until last year, just a few weeks ago last year, in fact. On a related note: I just picked up the Mac Action Sack and am going to be playing Marathon (or Abuse, or Pathways, or Minotaur) soon. The Bungie love continues in my home.... So for me it was HBO and the Halo manual that directed me to the site and it was the content here that made me join and harass some of you for the last twelve months or so. [Edited on 8/17/2004 2:15:40 PM]

 • I borrowed a Myth from a friend, and decided to look for the website of the company that made it. I registered at Bungie.net some time later in 2002, but lurked a lot.

 • I burped and something came up. Sometimes I look around the internet for stuff I like. I liked Halo. Halo licked me. So for almost a full year I came to the site and just read the news. Finally I got a login. Somebody posted something I had to respond to. Can't remeber what it was but I'm glad I did. Now my life is complete. I can die in peace with an assault rifle firmly gripped in my cold, dead hands.

 • I forget how I found this site, but I like to think it was divine intervention. Actually, I may have read it on the Halo box now that I think of it.

 •
Posted by: antiherosk8er Who is this Ape like Guy.....?
I was never quite certain, most people just looked over and said things like "oh yeah, HIM" and then either roll their eyes or laugh. I didn't get the joke. I do think that I saw him correcting the spelling and grammar of notes on the bulletin board... Not really correcting, more like making fun of them actually. It seemed to be something that brought him great joy. Come to think of it, the way he would dance around after writing something clever was probably used for the motion capture for a Grunt in combat. You know that hippity, hoppity side to side thing that Grunts do? Put them in a gorilla costume, put a giant foam cowboy hat on them, soak 'em in cheap booze for a couple of months and shazam, you've got the Webmast.... erhhmmm, this strange guy whose name I never quite caught. • I saw the E3 2000 video, and looked up Halo on google. I went to HBO, and stayed "in touch" with things (out of the HBO Forum, though) for a while. The January after Halo came out (I think it was Jan. 2002), I finally went to Bungie.net... A month or so later, I joined as Tleilaxu_Master or something like that. Then I changed names... then again, then again again. And now I am this... this Shai Hulud character, that people seem to think is "cool."

 • One fine old morning I was looking Halo screenshots to decorate my Desktop, and I found one that led me to the old Truth and Reconciliation site. I remember that one, but didn't become a member utill they changed the site's look to what it is now.
