Mute bans are lame
I recently made a thread about [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=59056621&viewreplies=true]Mute bans[/url] being unfair. I said I didn't think that they where justifiable which apparently they are so I just want to talk to a representative of Bungie because as a customer of theirs I want them to know that I don't feel like i'm being treated fairly.

People still have the choice to listen to you by the option of "unmuting". If they chose not to, they're more than welcome to exercise that option. There's nothing you can do and you're not being treated unfairly. Get over it, and stop worrying about something so pathetically unimportant. [Edited on 04.13.2011 1:04 PM PDT]

I just got back from an hour long workout and i'm not sure if the only thing that will "make me shut up" is a lock. I think you just can't handle talking to other people online so you sling all sorts of stuff like "self centered" and whatnot and that doesn't really mean anything except for you're jelly and I feel a little sorry for you and if i'm not sorry, I really don't care. All I know is that it's unfair and I don't know what the hell is up with it because every most no one talks and then people will start talking and say "hey did you know you where muted?" I know it's real because they tell me that they've never met me before and i'm muted. I just wish I could have had someone to talk to about this besides the flood. Someone who actually cares about the rules and would be diplomatic and stuff, like some sort of representative. This really pisses me off, flood.

I personally dont play online with player chat on. I have been in too many games where people would curse and say really offensive things like f@g. Personally I think its good because it keeps people like f@g off the chat. I do know what you mean though op. It is unfair but what are we gonna do.

as one of two people that were intrumental in changing how the mute ban works(Hylebos and I ran a 3500+post thread on it that got it's functionality changed) you WERE doing something that caused you to be banned. It is not based on people muting you now, it is based on Decibel levels coming through your mic and constant sound. This means if your mic is constantly producing static or you are yelling through your mic, or your TV is so loud the sound echoes through your mic, YOU WILL BE BANNED. these are things that are in your control, that piss people off. It also means that people can't abuse the system to make it easier for you to get banned.
