Question about firing with 2 different weapons(newest screen)

In the most recent MP screen, the main chief is wielding both an SMG and a plasma pistol, i was wondering that if you did this in gameplay, how do you think you charge up the pistol? if you hold down r to charge it the SMG is going to go crazy, i wonder if there is some sort of other way you could do it.. just a thought

 • Does anyone have any thoughts of how accurate dual wielding would be? In my opinion the accuracy while dual wielding should be less accurate than only shooting with one gun.

 • You can charge the plasma pistol in halo2 because if you find a jackal you charge the pistol let go then fill em full of lead.I cant wait for the dual weapons.

 • Its a futile effort to try and figure out all of the intricacies of halo 2 yet. Whatever will be will be, Im sure Bungie will find the best way possible to get this dual wielding thing to work so dont worry, just be happy that there is a new screen!

 • PEOPLE...there WILL be grenades its just that u cant have duel weapons and still access the game. Can you throw a nade when you hold 2 guns? Maybe if your hands are bigger than shaq's.

 • I can't remember where I read it but I think you will use both the Left and Right triggers... which, of course, seems logically given that trying to fire with the Y button and the A button is like trying to look at a bird in the sky with one eye and drive with the other eye. Plus, it would be much more comfortable to use what's right at hand: Left and Right triggers! I can't wait to learn all the Melee combos and button combinations! Keep up the good work, Bungie!

 • I hope that they implement changing from single to duel weapons like a person said on gamefaqs... If you have two weapons that can be paired up, hit the black button a few times and it'll change it to duel weapons. Click once = Frag Click Twice = Plasma Click Third Time = Duel single handed weapons I think it would save a button from being used (that can be used for other things) and still have it relatively simple.

 • you need to have grenades, i'd say the black button or something like that. but then the question becomes does have two weopons out count as your total 2 weapons or not. if it does then you don't have to drop the smg for example to throw the grenade, you just have to put it away to throw the grenade. if weilding 2 guns only counts as one and you still have lets say a pistol, then will they make you drop one weapon to use a grenade??? all too confusing.

 •
Posted by: Incognito 7 Wait then how do you drop one of your guns to use grenades? (They ARE handy in "sticky" situations after all...) Black button mayhaps? Any other sugestions?
Yeah, there's going to be a seperate button that will toggle the mode on and off. Jaime Greisemer already said this in a magazine article.

 • you really wouldnt need grenades if you had 2 weapons would you? oh,and this duel weilding looks awesome. think about it-plasma pistol overcharge to drain an elites shield, then SMG to finish it off!

 • The idea behind the dual-wielding is that you can't throw grenades. Rather, the gun in your left hand will be fired by pulling the left trigger. Simply, it's using both triggers to fire both weapons. No grenades, but oh well...

 • Yeah, but its not locked yet, so don't be afraid to post. And besides, theres like 8 threads about the new screenshot, so if they lock this they better lock the rest of the screen shot threads too.

 • maybe you use R for the plasma pistol and L for the smg so you could hold down one trigger and not have to waste amo with the other

 • Left Trigger for one weapon, right trigger for the other weapon. probably if the weapons are the same, it'll probably just stay as one trigger. but you never know, bung!e can be surprising sometimes.

 • Think of it this way. The left trigger= nades right? Well instead of a nade in the Master Cheifs left hand, he has a gun. Meaning i hit R....my Plasma charges, i hit L and my SMG fires.
