What's The Hardest thing you've gone through?

Today, a young adults leader I know brought up an interesting question for a group of mine... He asked us what was the hardest thing you've gone though. Many of us didn't have an answer, sav for a few of us. So I'm asking you guys what the hardest thing you've gone through is. No retarded joke posts (your mom, a wall, you get the idea), this is serious. I'm not forcing you to answer, just if you are feeling open enough. Mine was my parents divorce many years ago. I haven't seen my father in nearly 10 years and it still guts me deep.

 • I'm not gonna give specifics, but I will say that I thought I knew what it was to hurt and then I fell in love. A female can make you wanna rip out your soul and choke it to death just so you can stop hurting. They can drive you to suicide without even meaning to.

 •
Posted by: PQZ
Posted by: dmbfan09 My son's surgery for pyloric stenosis a month or so ago. That was tough for my wife and I.
What is that, if you don't mind me asking?
I don't mind. Pyloric stenosis basically means that the valve between my son's stomach and his intestines was closed and would not open as it should. So, everything that went into his stomach only had one way to leave his stomach, back through his mouth. It was a fairly simple surgery where they put an incision in his pyloric valve to releave pressure. Everything is working as it should now.

 •
Well this didn't happen to me but to my best friend. It all started in Xmas '03 when his girlfriend went away for a week with some guy, then in march '04 one of her friends committed suicide. Then he met the girl of his dreams and was hard core in love but then in may they broke up because she was 5 month pregnant. She didn't cheat, it was before they went out. We almost didn't graduate. Then in the summer of '04 he met another girl that was crazy. She was always threatening to kill herself and then in November they broke up. Then she started to date one of his best friend. In February he found out his mom had brain cancer and he watched her slowly die and she just passed away on may 26/05. He's still in love with the girl that he met in March. She's with the baby's dad and he isn't very nice.
http://www.spellcheck.net/ >> Kritz

 • Have you ever heard the saying big events, weather they're good or bad allways come in threes? Well here is my story. 1. My parents divorce finalized, seen my dad once this past year. 2. My grandpas death, we were really close he was one of those grandpas that would take you fishing all of the time and everything nice. 3. My girlfriend is going on vacation all summer, she left today and last night she left my house and went to some other guys house and wouldn't answer my calls, on the last night I will see her for like 3 months.

 •
Posted by: Metal Nutz
Posted by: ccjamp Wtf Metal, can you read 'No retarded jokes (your mom, a wall). You can't take one thing serious.
to many depressing posts
*scans thread twice* Metal made a joke? Meh, it's not as hard compared to most of the people here, but the hardest thing I've gone through is; Roughly 2 years ago I changed schools, but on the last week I got involved in a school brawl. There were about 6 kids going nuts on eachother, so me thinking I'm such a smartass, decided to stop it. I got hit in the face, then hit the guy back. At the time I didn't notice that two of the kids were my friends. I had hit one of them during the fight, and he thought it was on purpose. (I'm still wondering how I didn't notice it was him...) It turns out that the fight was between my two friends. So then, from them being so pissed at eachother, had to choose between the two. Basicly, the two friends hung out with different groups around the school. Being the last week there, I didn't care what I did. I lost about 6 good friends that week. Then I changed schools. (Not because of that, because my family had enough money to send me to a better school.) After what had happend at my last school, I wasn't too in the mood to make new friends. My grades went down to a near fail, sometimes a full fail. Then we hit the holidays, I looked at my life and decided to fix it. Now, although not that big, I have a range of friends. Some, who even have XBLive. Meh, I think I ranted on a bit... I know it isn't much, but I've lead a pretty good life. >> Kritz

 • I had a lot of hard stuff happen last year. My best friend started going out with my sister, and that was a pain in the ass. It was hard for me to sit at home when they went out to a movie that I wanted to see, mostly because the three of us had always gone everywhere together. Then they broke up, and that was a pain in the ass, and still is, because he's my friend, and my sister is in my family, and our families are really good friends, and we see each other a lot. Then last year another one of my friends parents got divorced. My friend became depressed and started on drugs and all this crap. He's getting better now though.

 • Last summer one of my best friends was having a hard time he had just had a kid and the mother had just broken up with him and since he was only 15 he couldn't get a lob anywhere to support his kid or anything and he was depressed. As much as I could I would go hang out with him and we would go do stuff to try to take his mind off his problems and be there for him and that kind of thing. Well I and my family went on a vacation to the beach for a week and when I got back he had shot himself, it was the day before his 16 birthday. I knew who bad he was doing and still went away :( Also about 2 months earlier my grandmother had died from cancer. [Edited on 6/2/2005]

 •
Posted by: sniper_117 your mama's pu.......look a beach
It's people like you who are going to turn society into one disgusting dump. Ex, yours can be compared to mine. Mine only effected me emotionally. Yours got you emotionally and could have put your future in jeopardy. Coyote, that must be rough. I know that my family (both sides) comes from a long line of alchoholics. Fortunately my parents stopped the trend. The thing that's hard for me, is that I haven't had someone to call 'dad' all these years. I mean, I have a stepdad, but you know that he's not your dad. [Edited on 6/2/2005]

 • We had this question asked in school, and while most of the kids were writing about what kind of cereal to eat in the morning (okay, not that trivial-but some were) I was writing about my alcoholic family. That was hard. No one should have to go through that.
