In case you're interested in the details, during our update last week, several indexes in the table that contains all 3.2 million posts or so became corrupted. Attempts to rollback the change didn't succeed in fixing the problem. The end result was that retreiving topics and posts took much more CPU than they should, and that meant that all of you would get timeout errors, because everything slowed way down.
Thankfully, with the help of the Ideal Science guys, we were able to fix the problem. We'll continue to monitor it, but so far, CPU utilization and request speed are back to normal.

Honestly, if you don't want Hang 'Em High to be brought back, you should just be shot to save us all the trouble of dealing with your ignorance. How do you explain the overall poor performance of the site in Mozilla Firefox? Very slow and jumpy scroll speeds. Something strange is going on, and the Bungie site is the only site that I've found a problem with... o.O

yeh, i rekon the shotgun needs to be a bit faster aswell, everytime im shooting someone n i ave 2 load the bullet up i always get shot

if you guys liked some of the glitches they still work like the rocket glitch instead of pressing Y+R this time you press R+X+Y+B as fast as you can enventually you will do it the reason that the rocket glitch was taken oit is beacuse that they do long range sowrd attacks and now they made it harder to do it so you cannot cheat doing it. if you want to know any glitches my gamertag is AvoidedHassan. P.S : do not use any glithces on matchmaking games.

I am not sure where i am supposed to ask questions, so if this isn't the place, then let me know where. Anyways, I have several questions and ideas, but i'll keep it short. - I would like some screen shots of the new set of levels yet to be released. - A very creative friend of mine came up with an awsome twist on an old map to bring it to the new game. Boarding Action, okay, wait, let me explain. Two Ships, face to face right? One Covenant and one Human. A couple of energy bridges to reach each side, rather than teleporters. Teleporter will only remain on the lowest level. Instead of ladders, Grav-Lifts on Covenant ship and Air shafts on human ship. Think about how much fun this would be given the new weapon scheme. One last note of the idea, Occasional fighters flying by and exploding (creating a living environment).

Yeah Sedated Psycho has a point. You do need practice @ dual weilding only to discover new combos and all that other stuff. Basically just practice for about 20min's n youll be a pro at it just like the rest of us Spartans and Cov. elites. Thatz all!

True but to be good at dual weilding you need some pratice. Dont worry, give it a while and you will be blowin down mofos so fast that you'll be laughing into a state of exaustion.

I was playing teamslayer, half way through the game my team mate left because he got mad and while we were waiting [in the blue screen] we waited untill it went back to the game and then when we retuned to the game, me (eliminatorUK), Danny2892 and thathcycameron were dead and the other team got more kills, i am disgusted that this has happened and their names are; IRAT3 PIRAT3 ContinjaDsNinja Love Pie Un touchabie 1019 Cheaters This was definatly not a fair game and there was cheating. me,EliminatorUK,danny2892 and Big Daddy Boss were in a team slayer matchmaking game and all the sudden a blue screen apeard on the screen and they kept doing it so BIg Daddy Boss quit coz he was getting angry and when the blue screen was up we were all dead when it whent and they had mroe kills. [/quote] It's nice that this site is basically functional again, and I do appreciate the information regarding the nature of the problem, but I felt compelled to say this anyways: Problems of this nature have occurred more than frequently enough with the forums on this site so as that, even as it works now, I know for sure that it is only a matter of time before we all go thru this (or another problem similar enough to this as to render the same basic effect) all over again. Now I have a lot of respect for Bungie, you folks have made some fine products that I have enjoyed the use of over the past several years. But, the basis of my business, the foundation of the success I have realized, is built upon customer-service and satisfaction, and these principles are not ones that I can either sacrifice nor compromise. Should a day ever come where the company I work with was unable to adequately maintain my site to meet the needs of my customers, then I would not hesitate to change companies. My reputation, my very business in fact, would depend on that decision. I hope that this will perhaps be the first and last time I endeavor to express this view here. I hope that from this day forward, this site will portray to a public, and to a customer-base that commitment to excellence and service that I am certain that Bungie works as hard towards as they possibly can. However, may I respectfully suggest that, if Ideal Science continues in the future to be more of an obstacle to that success, rather than a means of enhancing it, that you make the tough decision to go another in another direction. "FE3RUL Slink" this person was cheating on head to head. i recenlty played him on Ascension i he started to stand by and i lost due to this misfortune. i dont know were to post this cheating thing so hopefully somebody from bungie reads this. this guy was laughing and i told him to stop or i would report him. he said that you guys would never catch him because he has done it so many times and that i shouldn't bother trying to send negative feed back. i hope that you catch this guy because i want to enjoy halo online with these type of people because they ruin it for everyone else. thank for your time. p.s. my gamertag is SNAKEEYEZ15

Wow that's a relief cus for a while it was getting really hard trying to manage my groups cus I needed to reply to PMs and forums posts but it was really slow. I thought it was my ISP fault at first.
