I fully agree with what you say. i love this game and there is no doubt in my mind that it is the best game ever made. i loved all the updates becasue it made it like halo 1 again with the changing of the grenade and mele strength. however bungie have for the first time made a major mistake with adding BR gametypes. THEY ABSOLUTLEY SUCK!!!!!! i dont ever enjoy them even if i win and get loads of kills. especially on burial mounds which used to be one of my fave levels has been utterly ruined by the constant BR game types. it makes me really sad that up close and personal fightin has been taken away from it. i really hope bungie listen to us cus i have not met a single perosn on live who thinks that the BR games are enjoyable. its not like you get one every few games. its pretty much every game and it makes me sick to be honest. SORT IT BUNGIE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think about it Fire.....Over time....all the stats will be where they belong. The 20's and 30's will pass you, but u pass the 10's...just give it some more time. I like what bungie did resetting the stats since there are fresh names appearing on the leaderboards that don't cheat to get there like all those lvl 50 boosting people or standby noobs. I know...standby is still out there...but it has never happened to me yet (thank god)

You have people all over the country that can't wait to waste the lower levels and boost their levels even higher. This is bull-blam!- and totally unfair to be playing against 1's and have them really be 25's or so. You meant to level the playing field, but all you did is put a baby out in front of a semi-truck. Oh no Bungie-Team, please make all so like it was. The ****** Cheaters are everywhere now. It is incredible, that someone beat me down, when i stand in front of him. From behind is it ok, but not at front. Halo makes no more fun for me. You go live and the first game is so ***** that you wanna go offline instantly. You have make Halo 2 so bad!!!!!!!!!!!1 More than bad. The only thing that is good after the update, that i dont like Halo2 more, i can learn more for my school at that time. Thank you Bungie! But not for the modes and so. Cancel all your new modes and so on! Perhaps than i come back and play Halo2 again! I have seen, im not the only one with so an opinion, ask you why sometimes!

First of all, there are no more options in this game. It's either "snipe" or "be sniped". There is no use for the SMG. I ditch it at all costs. There is no reason to have a pistol. The Battle Rifle can own any pistol combo out there. There is no reason to use a covenant carbine, because it just doesn't match up to the three battle rifles firing on you. No reason to grab a plasma pistol or plasma rifle anymore. They can't kill people anymore. If you kill someone with plasma fire after this new update, you're playing against someone who's new to Halo 2. I LOVED the battle rifle, but only when there was maybe one or two people on the other team that could possibly have it as well. Now their whole -blam!- team has it, and I don't have a chance in hell. I start with a firefight with one, it doesn't matter how far away the others are from it, they're in it too. I don't even bother with the sniper rifle anymore, and the rocket launcher seems to be my own death warrant. The most I can rely on is random grenades. Btw, why increase the power in those when you can't even chuck it far enough to matter? I'm nearly ready to just go sell my game. I loved this game and played it 24/7, but having 4 or more snipers on my ass in every game isn't fun. I don't know how anyone could consider that fun. I don't know if the bungie guys play sniper games all day long or what, but they obviously have no -blam!- clue what people like to play. Options? I don't have any when I play anymore. No choice in weapon anymore. I either use a battle rifle, and fire it faster and more accurately than the guy who's spawn camping me, or just stand there and wait for the kill score to hit the limit. I don't have any great stories to tell my friends anymore. It used to be cool stuff like "Yeah, I jumped down from the canyon and hit him with my sword, and then I pulled out my rocket launcher and shot their warthog to hell with everyone in it." Now it's "Dammit! I had the sword and rocket launcher, and they all killed me before I could even find them." Your stupidest moves, that are causing more grief than any standbying or glitching could cause: 1. You turned BR's on EVERY -blam!- MAP! There were only THREE maps that weapon needed to be on. Three, and only three. Coagulation, Containment, and MAYBE Headlong. When you put the BR on small maps like Battle Creek, you make them nothing less than low-powered sniper rifles. I can't even find cover after I spawn before they've gotten the shots they need. 2. You made so many "Human weapons only" games. I don't care if MLG thinks that's a good idea. If I wanted to join the MLG, I'd join the -blam!- MLG. But I don't like their rules, so I play just straight Halo 2. But oh no, I don't even get a -blam!- choice now. That's great, just -blam!- great! Without plasma weapons, the SMG and pistol are even MORE useless! The only thing that could compete with a battle rifle in medium range was a plasma rifle/smg combo, and that's been -blam!- in the ass now, hasn't it? 3. BR only games. Too -blam!- many. Every other game I play is BR only. "We want to add variety" my ass! So you want to see more skill, huh? More variety? Well take a good -blam!- look, jackasses! 4. TANKS on Skirmish games. How the blue -blam!- do you manage to justify a TANK in a 4 vs 4 game? How the hell can you do such a thing in your right mind? Having a tank is barely justifiable in BTB!!! 5. Stat reset. No, I wasn't a high level. I was a 14 on my very best day. So I don't care about my stats. But at the same time, I didn't want to play countless hours against guys that were 30's and 40's for a REASON. It's -blam!- frustrating as hell. It doesn't make the game more fun, and it ruins the game experience COMPLETELY. If people were high-leveled due to cheating, then they were sentenced to playing against people that were of higher level anyways. The list would have balanced out eventually, albeit much slower. But you wouldn't have frustrated so many -blam!- people. You have made this game fun for pure elitists and Halo Gods, and nobody else. I bought this game for it's entertainment value. And I gotta tell you, it delivered. But now I'm just another heavily unsatisfied customer, that wishes he could turn back time...... You want a suggestion? make a new playlist update for next week, and fast...

I am very dissapointed with the way "Team Preview" playlist works, speceifically this: "Both playlists are heavily weighted towards the new maps, although you will play on older maps too." If I wanted to play in the old maps I would use the "Team Squirmish" playlist; I think that "Team Preview" should be limited to NEW MAPS only. Yesterday I bought the maps and played appox 50 games and only 3 (yes THREE) were on TURF, 6 on Sanctuary and the rest on OLD maps. I am very dissapointed for this and I don't understand the reasoning behind it, not only we didn't get a true "Optimatch" when the game was shipped now when we pay for premium content we cannot enjoy it as much as we want to. I am having seconds thoughts about buying the rest of the maps when they come out. Everything else is great but not having an exclusive Playlist for the premium content is a big bummer.

Why so many battle rifle games? Games should not be based solely on one weapon. Almost every other game I played last night was with battle rifles. Please look at this. Thank you.

After the update, I feel that matchmaking takes so long and I just don't feel like waiting for so long to play just one game. I've waited for up to ten minutes at a time for matchmaking to find a game for my friends and I to play. I didn't know that Halo 2 was being updated, I played online the day it happened and I never experienced such a bad time online. Terrible times to find games and serious lag for everyone playing the game. I then came to bungie.net and found out about the update and it all made sense. Hopefully in time the times will be decrease and I can experience a better time online. [Edited on 5/6/2005]

Congratulations to all the jackass snipers out there who -blam!-ed & complained about the Plasma/Battlerifle combo .... well you got your wish. The result really sucks too. Ever since the updates were implemented, matchmaking blows. You guys cry about the supposed "Newb Combo" as not taking any skill .... well now with it gone all you bastards do is camp out in one spot, the same as you did when the combo was available. Gee, whole lotta skill there. I thought the updates were supposed to be done to prevent cheating, not catering to whiners. Oh by the way Bungie, I tend to die too much & lose too many games, could you fix it for me so I'm in permanent God mode & never lose? I figure since you catered to them you could do the same for me. Hey whats up I was playing Team Skrimish (it was assult on burial mounds)and "Sudden Death" started. How is this possible if all assult games had sudden death removed?

first off kid, let me say that yes your right, camping is a legit tactic, but the last time i checked, and please refer to the original halo, and halo2 before the update that the game is a run and gun game, hence the duel wielding and all of the many other choice's you have in the two game's. the new update changed the original gameplay for which we all loved so much. i'm not saying anything other then that. if everyone wanted to just camp then hell just put a sniper in everyone's hand's then too! i DID NOT expect after waiting in line for hour's for this game, and the anticipated update it so desprately needed (cause just cause a map anomily is present it should be used mentality by all of the pothetic cheater's on this game) after logging in more hour's then could be humanly imagined, that the entire gameplay of halo2 which is a sequal for a reason, get's changed. i DONT HAVE TO BE HAPPY ABOUT IT! HENCE THESE LEGITIMATE POST'S! i'm speaking what's on my mind, and what some feel is a waste of time to even bother! me on the other hand feel's that if unless the disatisfaction isn't voiced by the general public then again the one's that cheated before still have the advantage they had before the updating took place. they cheated cause their NO GOOD at the up close and personal style fighting that took place on the original, and the second edition of halo!!! i dont recall that everywhere you look on any of these map's that you had the chance to get this many battle riffle's in so many team memeber's hand's? do you? This is pretty sweet , the update is cool because now ppl cant be newb jackasses that just use the pp br combo! The combo is sweet but ppl go to far on it on collossus and the other lvl i forgot to mention.

Yeah! The new maps are finally here playable in matchmaking! Been waiting for this day to come. WOOT!

Stat reset was a big mistake IMO. With no levels to do proper matching you are frustrating many players by matching them against much better players. From what I understand the stat reset was mainly due to those who cheated to bump their levels. Since the cheats were fixed, the cheaters would have either a) quit winning so their level dropped to their real skill level or b) quit the game. Either way it balanced out. By wiping the matchmaking levels you made all your legit players pay the price instead of just the cheaters. [Edited on 5/5/2005]

The playlist updates are setting a dangerous precident. If a perfectly balanced weapon combo (PP/BR) can be removed simply because it gives some players an advantage, what's to stop Bungie from further leveling the playing field by removing the next-most-effective weapon or combo. Oh yes, there will most certainly be a successor to the PP/BR combo, and once it reaches a certain level of popularity Bungie may decide to remove it. All voice communication must be banned during gameplay, of course, because it can lead to better communication and give a team of headset users a powerful advantage over a team of mutes. Where does it stop? Maybe by 2006 we will be running around perfectly symmetric (e.g. boring) maps using the only weapon that hasn't been banned - the single SMG. Then somebody will decide that the single SMG is much too powerful, and Bungie will replace it with a Nerf gun. Do you know what you're left with when you remove all of the dynamic components of combat from a combat game? Rockem Sockem Robots... that's what. I realize that Bungie is in favor of democratic gameplay, and I certainly applaud them for removing legitimate problems like greifing. But this is a silppery slope, and I hope they know what they're doing.
