How do I change the region of my gamertag?
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows how to change the region of your gamertag. Is it possible to change your windows live ID on your account with a new region? I know that region is fixed to your windows Live ID, therefore if I made a new LIVE ID that's region is in Canada, the account on XBL should switch to Canadian and I can use my Canadian points, etc.?

My wife had the same problem when she moved from England to U.S. It wouldn't accept our current postal code and she couldn't use MS points or membership cards. She had to start a whole new account. I think the easiest way to deal with this is use a credit card on the account....or make a new account. I have no idea how to change the region.

That was worded strangely. I moved from the US to Canada, and cannot renew my XBL subscripton or add MS Points to my account because the account's region is US and I am in Canada. If I change my Windows Live ID to a new one that's region is Canada, will it solve this problem? If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Making a new account is out of the question, does anyone know if changing the windows live ID with a different region will allow me to use my points and 12 month codes from another region?
