Halo PC's Population: Seemingly Abysmal IQ Average
So... As many of you that have been around for a while have surely noticed, there seems to rarely be [i]any[/i] competent players on Halo: Combat Evolved PC these days. I'm sure there are more in private servers but I don't even see that many populated private servers. Every single time I join a game I get a crazy k/d of something like 164/12. If there are any decent players (Compared to the other players) are there, they seem to call you out for using an aimbot even though you're missing 4/5 of your shots at them.
What happened? I remember playing this back in 2009 and it wasn't this bad. It was [i]filled[/i] with great players back in 2004 - 2007, it decreased a bit somewhere during 2007 and now it's just absolutely terrible. Most the people who are playing just seem absolutely brain dead and I can't even name one game that I play that has players as brain dead as this. It just makes me hold my head in shame. A part of me wishes it was shut down just so people don't see how embarrassing 90% of the population is.
What are your thoughts? Do you think I'm over exaggerating? Do you think they're not really that bad but it's Halo PC that's just "[i]Too hard[/i]"? Is Timmy still stuck in that well after all these months?

Yes it's on the same sort of topic. There's not much to talk about here anymore. If you don't like the conversation, [i]leave[/i]. It's beyond moronic to invade a thread to -blam!- about how you don't want to talk about this stuff. If you don't want to, get out. I'm not just asking why some random guy isn't good. I'm wanting to discuss what the possible reasons are for why Halo is filled with less skilled players whereas other games like Unreal Tournament, Quake III Arena, Tribes (Older ones), Counter-Strike, and so on are filled with people who know the game inside/out. It's a simple topic of discussion that absolutely no one here seems to be getting at. Everyone just wants to either say I'm right about it, I'm wrong about it or complain that I'm "complaining" about it. You're being extremely hypocritical, Ben. You're actually calling me out for being trivial when you're putting effort into saying we ought not try to discuss things in an online gaming forum. Why don't you just... You know... Go away? Nothing against you; It's just that if you don't want to be a part of this sort of discussion then don't be a part of it. No one is strapping you down to a chair to sit here and discuss this. Spread your little wings and fly to another discussion that you'd like to have. If you can't find one, create one. ___________________________________ By the way... I'm not sure but I don't think this has ever been made into an actual thread. I don't recall in the last 2 years that I've been active in this forum that someone has actually made a thread talking about the average Halo PC player seeming to be worse than most other games.
