Posted by: iLeGeND2 Reach at least tried new things. Halo 2 felt like a rehash of halo 1. From the first level being in a ship to the copy paste nature of flood levels.
H2 was more daring. It drastically changed CE (talking Elites, casual friendly). Reach tried to be like CE while deliberately trying to destroy Halo (with it's cinematic approach, big teases, fail friendly AI and vehicle physics, and lack of epic moments). So I don't see how H2 felt like a rehash of CE. In fact, that claim is an insult to CE, even more than Reach's very existence which itself is an insult.
Posted by: Mark V guy
Posted by: iLeGeND2 Nope, Halo 3 is superior in every way possible. Reach at least tried new things. Halo 2 felt like a rehash of halo 1. From the first level being in a ship to the copy paste nature of flood levels.
Halo 2 was very different to Halo 1. Halo 2 introduced loads of new weapons, an entirely new side to the story through the Arbiter, a deep and intriguing story, humanising the covenant and making them interesting, introducing a Flood intelligence, new characters, new environments, new vehicles, it is in no way a re hash of Halo CE.
People will go so far to discredit H2, even asserting superiority of a sequel (H3) over the game that started it all (CE)... it's best if I leave this forum permanently so I don't have to suffer.
