For those struggling on Crota hm: simple and relaxed way to kill him
I pulled together a team of randoms in lfr and we dropped him second go. This seems to be the best strat for lfr as it's very chill. I've also got a video for holding the sword as well that I'll post for those wanting to be Swordbearer.

Edit: I'll post the video of my warlock as Swordbearer so you can get an idea. All it requires is that you have one titan and four people with rockets. You can be 31 and you don't need ghorn.

Edit: so the post is trending now, thanks for the support and the advice! I put this up to help those that are having problems and to show that you don't have to be a mlg pro to take him down and so far we have had some great ideas to further the strats and make thing more efficient. This is what the destiny community is all about!
Edit: struth me timbers! I woke up this morning to a lot if love. I managed to help out a few people yesterday and have changed up my strategy thanks to the good advice of heaps of people. I live in Australia so it's going to be fairly difficult to got to everyone. But I'll endeavour to do my best. Just add me on ps4 ☺
Edit: I have figured out a way to get him down pre ogres that doesn't require insane timing. I'll post the video asap!

19 RepliesEdited by Dannyboy: 1/27/2015 5:58:58 PMA few notes/suggestions to possibly make your next run easier: -I ran voidwalker for HM Crota to constantly make orbs, if possible have people use their supers to kill the knights on each side to generate orbs for your team in the crystal room -If you have a titan you can have them leave the ledge first and pop a bubble at the door after each sword as you're going back inside -For ogres it's quicker to run down to the bottom of the right boomer tower and get up on the door, destroy the first ogre as soon as it comes out and then you can snipe/rocket the second from the room as well, just be careful heading back up the stairs. -After ogres many people rush to try to get in two sets of hits on Crota, you don't need to rush, if you think it took to long and he might move you can simply wait inside until he moves to the side then back to middle and have plenty of time to kill him Hope people can use some, or all of these, to make this fight a bit easier. *Another tip I forgot, when using the last sword I've seen too many people rushing the rockets and panicking because of the instant oversoul when he enrages, only to have the rockets hit when he's still invulnerable. WAIT just like every other round before firing off those last rockets at him, there is more than enough time to wait that extra few seconds until you can actually damage him.
