I am of the older generation of gamers and would like to pass my gratitude to all of the team at Bungie for producing this gem of a game.
I look forward to the rest of the journey.
EDIT: Good to see like minded Guardians.

I agree totally. Unfortunately, I have posted some vitriolic things on these forums in the past, which I now regret. After spending 496 hours on the game (mostly bounties), and killing 69800 "baddies" I must admit that I am still enjoying the experience! Never done PVP all solo PVE. YES, I obviously still like the "grind"! Just turned 60 yesterday. Hopefully will still be playing when I'm 61! On PS3. Will some kind soul help me do a raid? Never completed one! (Sorry about the "stats", only just found out how to access them!)

I love the game. It does have room for improvement but the game is fun as it is now.

Are you suggesting that we older generation gamers should be inherently thankful for this game? Honest question. I just wasn't sure what our ages have to do with our appreciation or frustration with the game that Bungie sold us.
-
Cheers! I too appreciate what you've done, and I enjoy every minute of my time spent playing. Looking forward to more!
-
Completely agree! I feel the game is spectacular. I am an older generation gamer too. Maybe we just appreciate the games more because of knowing the history.
-
For all its problems, I still enjoy playing it. There's a limit though, and HoW will either be the extra straw or be a huge, satisfying relief.
-
What, you weren't disappointed by the overhype?
-
Enjoy most gameplay, think the reward system is a joke tho, rng had made me hate this game

I also love this game and feel the same way, Bungie give me hawkmoon....., please lol
-
I love you.

I do love this game and am still obsessed with it, I have to be on the forums or talking to someone about it during the day and cant' wait to finish work and get back on in the evening. However, there is MUCH work to be done to make it a truly epic game worthy of everyone's love. Some people put up with it in the hope that we'll get some resemblance of the hype that was built up for so long back and others rage quit a long time ago. Me, I think I'll be here for the long haul. I've made some good friends (my friends list quadrupled since Destiny) and I have a lot of fun just jumping on and seeing what's going on. See you out there, Guardian

I also want to pass my gratitude to bungie for allowing my 3yr old cousin to understand the game's story.
that there isn't one
Edited by iPatrikolby: 1/25/2015 12:34:48 AMI have to admit that I'm starting not to hate it as I come to terms with what it is, not what it was supposed to be.... ....Ice breaker really helps.

It started as love, turned to hate. and now it's just an abusive relationship
-
I love this beta version of destiny, even tho its full of bug and glitch but I'll look forward to the final version. I hope bungie release it soon.
-
agreed. I have to say that I really do enjoy playing it and look forward to seeing more. That said, I sincerely do hope that there is a lot more to come in game play, zones and story...
-
ME TOO everyone is always complaining about problems but every game has problems
-
This is a great game that needs a better reward system
-
Casual players love it, however hardcore gamers seem to develop a love-hate relationship with it.
-
I'm just plain ol addicted to this game
-
I also love this game. But I would love this game a 100 times more if there was a better reward system for skill instead of just having to put hours and hours into to the game
-
Yes. Destiny is the cubic zirconium of gaming. Cheap and fake.
-
I actually love this game I've had it since release and I've thoroughly enjoyed it and I think that this game has been labelled 'repetitive' is because gamers made it so. Bungie never intended to go to loot caves because it isn't even efficient and when you said that it was annoying to go on patrol to farm materials bungie made it so that you could do other activities. And yes the story is short but that makes me feel that the fight goes past all the missions.

Maybe we older guys (who remember when Pong was a hot game to have at home) are better equipped to realize how massive an achievement Destiny is, and that it didn't just happen by waving a magic wand. Also, maybe we're less accustomed to getting instant gratification and don't mind putting some time in for a reward down the road. Having said that- it would sure be nice to have Suros pop up in the Crucible tomorrow before I have to go start my work week...
