This "community" disgusts me...
These forums have quite possibly the worst community i've ever experienced. The population is made up of 75% Trolls with no life beyond these forums, 20% pure assholes with no purpose in life, and 5% mature gamers who are actually friendly and helpful.
Does anyone else remember when games used to bring people together? Now it's just full of pricks trying to amount to something in the lonely Bungie forums.
And if you aren't convinced, just read the replies i'll most likely get to this thread. They will be nothing but Trolls measuring their dicks and haters with unresolved daddy issues.
As for the 5% like me, game on friends! Don't lower yourself to their level.

It's your average Internet forum. A lot of uninhibited opinions flying around with a healthy dose of ignorance. That's what happens when you get to say whatever you want to anyone you want while hiding behind a computer screen. On the bright side, if you translate the vitriol and ire into enthusiasm, people must really like Destiny.

3 RepliesI tried doing the hard raid once, when I joined one guy said "why are we playing with a 31?" I have great gear and know what I'm doing. Host wanted to keep me but then literally the entire team said they would leave if I didn't. Host refused but I realized I was a burden rather than a resource and left.

However, the inflammatory backlash of ill-mannered behavior witnessed on these threads are a by-product of people's unrestricted commentaries; to each and every user, it is to the satisfaction of their attention-starved egos their unimportant opinions be heard. In such a pitiable psychology, they naively believe their officious authority grants them superiority. They see their every word as invaluable, their every idea unique and indestructible. They are gravely mistaken, yet incomprehensibly still populate this Community unchallenged. As such, your unfortunate statistics exist, much to the loss of we few who repine for a constructive community. koolcam3, you are not alone.

1 ReplyShiki, I only read your post not the comments. Allow us to back out of the game environment for just a moment and let us look at it as a whole. Most of the gamers here have less skill than the average mw3/BO1/BO2 quick scoper. It's a community of noobs. And what can you expect from noobs. Smarta $$ replies about a below average game. While based on destiny's devs the game should have been incredible it's been below average at every turn, and if you don't believe me well just compare any attribute of the game to any other game and you'll discover exactly what you need (especially after the most recent patch) let's just go back to the old games. I'd go back to BF2 and NFS U2 if I could. But alas I cant.

The internet slowly but surely killed video game communities. It just gave a means for arrogance and ignorance to show itself while hiding behind a screen. Gaming communities, hell most forums anywhere, are just as toxic. The only reason I bother with these forums is to hopefully provide constructive criticism to those who need it. Plus some of the dumbest posts just make work go faster haha.
