There should be a path to upgrade pre-DLC legendary weapons and armor to the "next level" similar to exotics. Maybe XUR could upgrade them like Exotics too. Perhaps 50 planetary materials will upgrade and reset them. Shouldn't be too expensive since these are only legendary items. Would be nice to keep some older guns around and also have the damage increased and armor stats increased until something better comes out. It would be interesting to see which guns/armor are still around after several DLCs. Just a thought. Hopefully others agree and comment and vote.
