Because as of now the only way to get your health back is either
A. You're a Titan. And i think Warlocks have an ability in their Subclass too that triggers Health Regeneration? not sure
or
B. You have Red Death or Suros Regime and not everyone has these weapons seeing as how everything is random.

Leon1des Says: "You can regain health with all characters as long as you have raid or exotic armor that give you health"
I'm aware but there is no guarantee you'll get any of those doing anything
___________________________________________________________________________________________
EDIT: I've been informed that all classes have the ability to get health back when they add the right perk to their melee's!
but i personally still believe a Gatekeeper should drop a Chalice in case that person would rather use a more useful perk in that section of their skill tree.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
EDIT: I've seen some people say yes but under the right circumstances. And i agree here are some ideas
1. The Chalice could be timed! meaning it wouldn't last forever
2. If the person holding the chalice dies it will disappear. Meaning you'd have to kill another gatekeeper.
3. The Chalice cannot be shared and can only be held by the first person to pick it up! Rules 1 and 2 still apply.

No, people just have to stop sucking at the game.
-
No, it's hard mode. Not sort of hard or this is too hard let's make it easier mode. Let's keep it hard please, just have to step up.
-
You spelled my name wrong
-
Every class has a way to regenerate health
-
Maybe add chalice but only lasts until crota moves...otherwise what would the point in totally removing it be
-
no, its HARD mode, its meant to be difficult.
-
You don't need it...There's plenty of helmets that give health for picking up orbs. And plenty of weapons. While it would be interesting to see the gatekeeper killed and drop it, but if the bearer wastes time on him, you won't beat Crota. And it's hard mode...it has to be a little harder.
-
Hunters also have a health regeneration perk in blade dancer
-
The Raid is called "HARD" for a reason. Stop looking for an easy handout to beat him. Be strategic and watch videos on how others do it.
-
Do you mean the Swordbearer?
-
Warlock void has health recovery
-
-
In doing this you can mess with the timing of the fight. A chalice is not needed and would only act as a distraction. But if they want to add it then be my guest, it won't make a difference to me.
-
Everything is not random. Xur is not random. Xur has sold the Suros and Red Death /thread
-
There is no reason work with your team and strategies properly difficulty is could and starts are good as well but not full proof.....for god sakes it's hard mode it's suppose to be hard guys
-
people like you.. -.- only beaten hard raid once, and i hope it doesnt xhange.. DIFFICULT IS GOOD fs
-
Warlocks have 2 exotic helms that replenish health, Apothesis Veil and Light Beyond Nemesis. Also have Life Steal with Voidwalker. Believe other characters have exotics that replenish health with orb pick up.
-
no, there is no reason too. every class has a healing ability. spec into that! its easier to heal using those than with the chalice anyway.
-
Or you could just be careful and not take damage. It's called the hard raid, not the 'let's accommodate for people who can't handle the difficulty raid'
-
Edited by YahyaTV: 1/23/2015 12:45:09 PMThere are many ways to regenerate health (or have a protective shield) 1. Exotic Weapons: Red Death/Suros 2. Exotic Armor: Apothesis Veil, Light Beyond Nemesis, Mask of the Third Man, Insurmountable Skullfort 3. Raid Gear: Certain Raid Gear will have an ability which specifies Replenish Health when you pick up an Orb. 4. Melee: VoidWalker: Life Steal Sunsinger: Flame Shield, Blade Dancer: Hungering Blade, Striker: Transfusion, Defender: Force Barrier 5. Super: Defender and Sunsinger (with Apothesis Veil) will replenish health upon activating super. Chalice is not needed. This is where gear actually matters and attributes of gear need to be considered better. Xur has sold all the above gear (or most?) If you have none of the above armor, he is selling a helmet engram today, there is simply no excuse.
-
i think this would be a challenge if you kill the gatekeeper he will drop the chalice but only one person could use it after that it disappear for the rest of the game so you gotta be choosy who you want to get their health back!
-
Then I guess people should stack gear or weapons that replenish health. No excuse. So many armor pieces replenish health with orbs and the Suros and red death both replenish health ( Xur has sold each twice).
-
Or.... should the chalice work like the relic did in VoG, but instead works like this when you killed the gatekeeper he drop the chalice and there going be a super attached to it so when its ready you use it around your team mate and everyone gets heal but after that the chalice disappear and you can't get it again
-
He should have some purpose like maybe more damage after you kill him or something
-
It wouldn't be Hard raid anymore.

Edited by BlackMarvels: 1/23/2015 12:26:44 PMIt probably did before but since Thier has been so much cheese ad disrespect it has to be the way it is Also what's more useful Than regenerating health lol Also does killing the gatekeeper trigger anything anyone done extensive tests?
