Torn between helmets (Hunter)
I need to choose between
Achlyophage Symbiote
Mask of the Third Man
ATS/9 Arachnid
Unyielding Casque
Been rolling with the symbiote the most since I roll gunslinger mostly and mask of the third man was my go to for bladedancer. don't know if arachnid should take over as my gunslinger and if I should roll with the raid helm to free up an exotic slot for my gauntlets for either subclass
thoughts?

Stick to the symbiote and the third man. They're by far the best hunter exotics in my opinion.

Only really find myself using the Symbiote helm and the Don't Touch Me gloves. Spec'd for 32 only with exotic helm until I find 14 more shards. Hopefully that's today because I think I will need to be 32 and often invisible come hard mode tomorrow.

2 RepliesUse Achlyophage Symbiote until you max out the Undying Casque, then try to get Don't Touch Me and use those as your exotic! Although if you wish to only use exotics helmets (to each their own), I would stick with Achlyophage Symbiote.

Last week I found lucky raspberry to be my prefered choice in the nightfall. Other weeks it might be the crest of alpha lupi for faster res. and extra hand cannon ammo. I like the don't touch me gauntlets in the new raid. Just depends but I run with the symbiot helmet the most. Rarely ever run mask of the third man.

I use Simbiote, and Third Man. Depending on what spec I'm running. Picked up an Arachnid the other day, and leveled it to the golden gun zoom, it's pretty sweet I might use it more often.

I do change helmet depend on the situation. Radar if i need to camp and defend point in control. Arachind for long maps in crucible (it is very effective then). I would go with raid helmet and don't touch me up until crota. then switch back to my 4shot gg to take down sword with ease.

Use Unyielding Casque and Radiant Dance Machines. Or just use MOTTM or KR.

If you're a blade dancer, go with MOTTM. If you're a gunslinger, go for Achylophage. I do like radar on primary weapons but doubt Knucklehead is worth it over the other two. Edit: raid helm gives a boost during oversoul, right? If the oversoul is going to spawn on hard even if someone doesn't die, this could be very useful. Otherwise, it has no utility.

Depends on what's more important to you. I don't got Mask of the Third Man, so I can't say anything about it. I do, however, have the other three. I use Achlyophage Symbiote for almost everything except PvP (for PvP I almost always use Knucklehead Radar). I only got ATS/8 Arachnid last week and just finished fully upgrading it yesterday or the day before. That said, the perks and bonuses that come with Symbiote are of greater importance to me than any of those that come with Arachnid. For me, that fourth Golden Gun shot and the extra distance on your grenade toss are just great, whereas the Golden Gun zoom, not so much. I have three legendary helms to swap between in case I want to use my Don't Touch Me or my Spine of Ahamkara gauntlets, which isn't very often. I've got the Sojourn Cover, Unyielding Casque and Prime Zealot. Which one I use will be determined by whatever I feel will benefit me more at the time (looking at the stat rolls for each).
