Do Exo Feel?

Alright, so I'm going to take the leap and create my own forum post. I've seen a lot of speculation regarding the Exo as a race, and while it's all very interesting, there's one bit of information that I'm unable to track down: To what extent can the Exo feel sensation? The Exo are, of course, sentient, and to that end are able to feel emotion. Banshee-44 seems to maintain a morose personality with the occasional remark that suggests dry humor. Cayde-6 tends to exhibit some humor, and mild annoyance if the player stands around without engaging him for too long. A friend and I have pondered this topic a lot and we feel that since Exo can feel emotion, they can theoretically feel the sensations that come with emotion: the pain of heartbreak, the giddiness in the chest that comes with euphoria. In the Grimoire Card Ghost Fragment: Hive 2, we have the following: "At the doors to the Temple he fell for the last time. He fell, and I could not reach him. My own Light flickers. They took me down into the dark, past tiers of massed Hive, more than we believed could exist. Past grisly nurseries hung with pupae. Past writhing worms that they swallow whole. I saw the armaments of war. I am weak, so weak. They have clamped me to this spire while a black foulness eats my Light. The Wizard comes now and then to probe with her scaly claws into my systems, to inquire about my making, the City, what I have seen. I erase and dump as quickly as I can - they will learn little from me - but I am studying them, I know - pain. Always pain.... " Now, if a Ghost can feel pain, why not an Exo? Ghosts are born of the Traveler, and Exos were created from knowledge gifted by the Traveler. They are so complex that nothing short of the Ghosts can understand them, according to the Grimoire Cards. So have away! Let me know what you think!

For exo, being machine, "pain" means a flurry of "danger" or pain messages being sent to it's electronic brain. The messages are hard to control and are often hard to decipher. For example, if an exo's foot gets burnt - there is a flood of messages saying things like "move your foot", "foot getting damaged", "fire close", "yell ouch in case sentient object is close by, near or with pain object", "apply protection to foot" etc. which can cause some odd reaction - like jumping up out of the way, exclaiming "ouch", and clinging to foot - for example. The aim is to save the foot from being broken.... so, can an Exo feel pain? I think so.
