You still lose ammo when dying or going to orbit if you have armor that increases your magazine size.
I understand why certain things (especially major exploits) are getting prioritized ahead of fixing the ammo bug but I also have to believe Destiny has more than a few developers working on bugs and why can't at least one dev get put on issues that are more annoying to players as a whole?
Although to be fair if I didn't like playing Destiny as much as I do, this probably wouldn't frustrate me as much. But nothing is worse than using a heavy ammo synthesis and see it slowly tick down during wipes in a raid. Gets quite expensive.

If the ammo bug worked the other way, and gave you more instead of less...it would have been fixed a week after it was found.

Edited by slopat: 1/14/2015 2:05:56 AMTwo heavy ammo glitches. Synth when inventory is full still glitches. But it was WAY more important to fix the exploding lamp and the other CE cheeses. Maybe if the game glitched less people would cheese less. Combine Crota's glitches (gets up immediately, runs after players, sword disappears, ogres don't spawn, etc) with the Heavy ammo glitch and you just have a great recipe for encouraging cheesing. Bungi needs to focus on all the game's other glitches before trying to fix the cheeses. As a recent article famously said, you can't patch the players.

Not sure if it's related but... My NLB has this glitch where I can only carry six shots in reserve. This, on top of the awful stats, make it completely useless in PvE.
-
That's not even bad, my heavy ammo Syns haven't worked since Friday
-
They never mention any fix or update on this. And besides its because of your armor perk that you lose ammo after dying.
-
Didn't Seem (or urk) mention this in a thupdate?
-
Don't think it was a big if u die u deserve to lose something
-
It's not a bug...
-
Deej addressed this issue awhile back (I will try and find a link) they said the bug is so deep in the coding they are afraid to try to fix it because it could destroy a lot of other things. They essentially don't care anymore because they aren't gonna fix it.
-
The patch to fix Crota's bridge failed and made it easier and quicker than ever
-
Edited by PerXs: 1/13/2015 10:19:38 PMAlso, my heavy ammo synth keeps bugging out. Every time I use a pack I get nothing.
-
I believe we should lose ammo when we die regardless. Otherwise it's too easy
-
I love how all the patches fix cheese spotz, but the portals still freak out on atheon and that hasnt been fixed
-
The most annoying one is when your inventory is full and you use one and get nothing, then have to wait for the cool down
-
oh for the record to all the 'it's not a bug' people I don't have the link on me but deej has confirmed it is indeed a bug
-
I'm getting rather bored with how bungie prioritise their bug/glitch fixes. To fix exploding lamps and the bridge over heavy ammo and vog bugs namely the relic and teleport problems is short sighted.
-
Yeah but don't cheese our game - bungie
-
mmmhmmm
-
have you ever noticed they dont fix things that are not directly related to the "WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED THEOREM" examples are... 1. the ammo bug 2. raid glitches in VOG 3. disconnection errors (they just keep switching the names) and blaming your connection they only fix things that fall into the previously mentioned theorem. other than that they really dont care and have made no attempt to even try to correct that image of them
-
It almost makes you want to put other boots on
-
Seems its not a bug, its how they wanted it to be
-
I'm starting to think it's not a bug. The cost of being able to hold extra ammo is that you lose some when you die.... But yes, quite frustrating
-
I'm getting better at changing my boots before going down, at least.
