The creation of a player council to communicate with Dev's

Hi I'm The Karnivore, been playing since day one and pushing 6 or 700 hrs of game time. ( not online to check which it is ) So I've been around the Destiny world and had the pleasure of meeting just about every glitch and problem there is, and whenever ive hit the fourms to see what others have to say, all i find is a pit of dark chaos from which no actually useful comment can climb. So here lies the issue, whenever something is changed, removed, or introduced into the game, there will always be those who agree and disagree with it. And so people flood the fourms with abuse at Bungie and the Devs, and while there are always people who have genuine good ideas for improvement, i personally find that these rare gems are burried in the sea of BS and are most likely missed by the Devs reading. So here is my proposal; we create a council of say, 5-10 players, who can be presented with ideas from the mass of players via personal experiences, in game interaction, and a sticky thread maybe? And let us sift through the rubbish and then be able to present the real issues in a closed talk with the Devs. We can use tags to search the most popular issues, an example #vaultspace I see this working as this way, the Devs dont have to waste time reading endless amounts of abuse and can be presented straight up with the issues that need attention, LIKE MORE VAULT SPACE! I would love to be apart of this team, where this idea to evovle into anything real, and i would suggest members of the team have, togeather, knowledge of the whole game. I have 32 warlocks, get some hunters and titans in their, some pro PVP players and (more vault space), and togeather we could really cover all the issues with the game, and really get Destiny how we, the players, want it. I dont want to write all my ideas as im on my phone, but i have seen player councils work to extreme benefit in other multiplayer games, and think it would really benefit all of destiny to include one here. So players, your thoughts?

  • I feel like you're just using this thread because you want to be 'promoted.' You seem like the type, no offence. Okay, yes offence, it's not a good thing. Regardless of that, I don't think it'd work. Even if the limit of their power was say, sticky or tag potentially interesting threads so the higherups could read it, it would be more of an organizational hassle then a help. For one, you'd need people to actually keep track of this council of yours, that's diverted manpower right there. The council would almost certainly be changing fairly often with players coming and going fairly often, I've never seen anybody completely and utterly dedicated to stalking these forums to search out for good posts. Finally, it really wouldn't make much of a difference. I've been commenting on #feedback for awhile now, I talk a lot and get bored on late nights, so sue me. All the best threads, the ones worth actually wasting Dev time on, get popular. People who take the time to properly write out, format and post a good suggestion unfailingly get popular, at least for long enough that a dev would be able to see that it has tons of likes, read it and bookmark it if it interests them further. Players doing the exact same thing wouldn't make much difference. But if it makes you feel any better, I've seen them mention upgrading vault space a few times now, so you've got that going for you.
I have 32 warlocks
I'm not impressed. You have 3 warlocks. I wouldn't vote for you to be a part of this. Never trust a tri-class. I have One Warlock, and she's 32. I didn't read your post simple because of that fact (3warlocks). It was just luck I noticed that statement.

      • I believe a council of gamers would be a great idea. I for one support it and I speak for my clan small as we are we would love to see this idea succeed.
