Generic Feedback

So before I start, let me just say I love the MMOFPS concept, it's a really fun idea and Destiny is probably the best (or highest budget) attempt so far. That being said, there are some issues which are probably going to effect the longevity of the game. Personally I can't see it getting the funding for a third expansion, I know I'll be bored of it by the time that comes out and won't be buying another expansion if wolves is anything like dark below. Speaking to people in game certainly gives the impression that this is felt community wide, but please chime in if that assumption is incorrect. So anyway, this is my feedback on exactly what is lacking or could do with fixing as a priority in destiny: Endgame Mechanics VoG has been rendered mid-game content by CE, meaning that now it is only good for getting gear to level up your character to 30 so you can cheese Crota. That leaves a single raid as the primary end game content, which can only be run once a week due to time-gating. This is exacerbated by the mechanics behind exotics. Not only can you buy your exotics from xur, but you only really need two per character, meaning that running VoG for an added chance at these isn't really necessary once you've got two you like. Dailies, nightfalls and weekly heroics are equally worthless for anyone beyond a certain point. Ascendant materials are useless, they don't drop any gear that will help you reach 32 and vanguard reputation isn't of any value given that the vendors have the same issue. Multiplayer Pretty much just call of duty with a neo-gothic flare, no attempt at open world PvP or sandboxing and rewards are useless in terms of character progression. Multiplayer in Destiny is less MMOFPS than it is CoD clone. Social There are no social aspects to this game, raiding clans and competitive multi-player are pretty much non-existent. There is no easy way to find other players or form groups outside of third party websites, plus xbox live and party app integration is clunky and unreliable at best. Given that there is no ability to type in a local channel in game, it might have been an idea to have actual clans and groups integrated, and the ability to form parties within these clans and advertise for activities. E.g. form a VoG normal party, have clan members apply to join the party and let you review their level/gear before accepting. I understand Bungie's decision to avoid matchmaking for raids, but given the lack of social features some kind of substitute was needed if they expected real communities to form. Dedicated Servers The lack of dedicated servers is just cheap. For a game that costs £80 for vanilla + expansions, and let's not go there with the pay wall denying content to people who bought vanilla, to completely lack dedicated servers is horrendous. The effects of this can be seen throughout all aspects of the game, from cheesing Crota due to the host force closing their session to the way knife fights always end with both players dying in PvP. Even the limited number of players in Destiny PvP is a direct result of them cheaping out and not paying for actual servers. It also seems to choose host based on who has fireteam leader, or who started the game, rather than based on network performance. This results in some horrendous lag fests at times when the host has a bad or unreliable connection. Patrols Literally the only time I've ever done these is to complete bounties, they are the same 5 or so missions spread across three planets filled with enemies far below your level even before hit the level 20 cap. I don't think I need to explain why patrols are hilariously bad design. Anyway that's pretty much it, please +1 if you agree or add anything you feel I've missed or got wrong. tl;dr Destiny end game sucks.
