2 years ago, sophomore year. Class just ended. As I walk home I decide to take a different route than usual. I ended up finding a group of people from school walking home too, so I try to say hey to them, they were all girls by the way. They recognize me and ask if I can hang out with them, being a skinny nerdy white boy, I said yes. We go to Burger King to talk, one of the girls asks me about what I usually do, I tell her I spend most of my time either reading really old poetry or playing Xbox. She giggles a little. I ask what she does, she says that she often writes poems and plays Xbox also. At that point I'm in nirvana, BUT! It gets even better, she then asks if I want to come over to her place. I tried not to scream yes, I keep composed and say sure. Myself and the girl, let's call her Stacy, go to her place, once we arrive we go to her room right away, we play Xbox for a couple hours, having fun and whatnot. She then asks me about if I'm single, I stutter yes. She giggles. She tells me she is also. Stacy then tells me about these guys she used to date, but tells me about how nice they are. I was confused, usually I would expect a girl to complain about her exes, until she asks me a certain question. She asks me about the boys I used to date... I laugh nervously. I ask her what she means. She asks "have you not dated anyone before?". I say "yes I have, but girls though". She then asks me if I converted. I was so mentally distraught I couldn't think of a response other than "do you think I'm gay?". She says "yes, aren't you?". To which I reply "hell no, what would make you think that?". She says the hair made it seem obvious. I wore a faux hawk at the time. That experience made me very self conscious about my hair. I have only just recently started wearing the faux hawk again.
