Console Wars Are Stupid
Seriously, I'm just curious, how many people in the community see these console wars pop up time and time again in the forums and just think they're stupid? Like, it's one thing having a discussion about which console is better, and opinion is cool, that's up to the individual. But all these "kids" (still not stereotyping) that just straight up throw insults...why haha, just clogging up the forums with useless stuff.

Gamer master race. I simply own all three of the current console flavors, and a gaming rig. Even amongst them, I do not have any preferences - apart from controllers. All have a purpose, and that is generally for exclusivity. Generally speaking, consoles are for exclusives for me, and everything else is PC. Of course, Destiny comes along and is console-only, with my friends split between the two main consoles. :-P

You're right! Pointing out to others that their ignorant decision to invest in a bankrupt company, and telling them that they are stupid for complaining that this same company lacks the capital for proper servers, IT staff, and exclusives is pointless. I'm pretty sure they already know. We [masterRace] don't have to rub it in their face.

2 RepliesThe 2 reasons console wars exist. 1) People have reasons for buying the console they want. Some people have a hard time understanding why others do not always share those opinions. 2) Bashing the other console reinforces their purchase, makes them feel better about it and helps them justify not buying the other system. I personally prefer to have the luxury of owning all 3 systems so I can play Uncharted, Halo and Smash Bros. All consoles have their strengths and weaknesses, and there is no clear choice for everyone.

2 RepliesConsole wars are stupid. Just pick the console you like. Watch at the games that come out for all consoles and see what you want too play. See what controller you like best. See what your friends are getting/have and what games they play and if you want too play with them. For me it was easy. I like halo and that is also the reason i bought my first 360 around 8 years ago. When the times come i maybe buy a ps3/4 if i can afford it for the side but right now, xbox one it is for me.

I own Destiny for both the Xbox 360 and the PS4. I bought it a second time for obvious reasons. I wanted to move to next generation, and in that move, I shifted towards Playstation. Not because any one console is complete crap compared to the other, but because of personal preference. The PS4 did things that I wanted, so.. I got it. The arguments concerning the "better console" are stupid. It's almost like religion due to the fact that random people are just pushing their opinions down others throats. If one wants to play Xbox One, good for them. Same goes for all consoles. We all have our reasons as to why we chose our consoles. It really doesn't matter. I just think we should treat one another respectfully, I mean.. We may be on different consoles, but we're all playing the same game.

So all other system owners get fukked. Stop making titles exclusively for 1 system and then voila. System wars are over.
