When I first learned of the Iron Banner I was a level 28 Warlock. It was the first time the Iron lords arrived in the Tower after the release of Destiny and I thought what better way to test my guardian than a Level advantage playlist. It was a blast I enjoyed it, and could not wait for the next one. When the iron Lords arrived in the tower again, tweaks had been made to the I am banner and it was still an enjoyable experience to test my Guardian and gear.
But as of the recent Iron Banner, the level advantage seems to be a dwindling illusion and is seemingly untruthful. I (lvl. 31) would turned into particles in a mere second by lvl 25's. At first I thought it was just a good kill on their part but then it happened repeatedly in multiple matches and I begin to realize this was just a normal Crucible match, the level and gear meant nothing.
Now I understand there has to be a sort of balance to it to allow lower level guardians an equal chance at success but isn't the point of the Iron Banner "not for the weak willed"
I love the concept and purpose of the Iron Banner, it is a great way to test your guardians wit and gear, but it just needs to live up to the Iron Lords Standards.
