How viable is thorn against Crota?
I heard that the poison from Thorn is great for keeping his shield down and prevents him from regaining his shield. Can anyone vouch for this?

Useless... it doesn't last long enough to make a difference.. effects ware off almost immediately.. Fatebringer is the way to go.
