There is a grimiore card (about Rasputin I think). It talks about the keeper of the garden fighting the darkness, and loosing. If this was one of the war minds maybe its the the stranger. The card refers to the keeper as "her".
This would explain her access to advanced tech. Her apparent dislike of the vex. And what she could be on the run from in the cut scene were she is talking to someone over the radio.
Discuss and submit theories!
Edit: the card is under ghost fragment mysteries. It never openly says Rasputin is the one speaking. But the person talks about having an immortal name. He also says he has brothers AND sisters

I don't think the Stranger is a Warmind, mainly because the Warminds were part of a gigantic network, linked with every defensive installation in the system. If you found the grimoire card for Rasputin (I forget which one) that shows the feed before Rasputin went dark during the Collapse, it shows that Warminds -- at least Rasputin -- were very much nothing but machines, devoid of personality. The Stranger, on the other hand, has demonstrated her own personality and mannerisms, which is very weird for a system built for function, not fashion. Another thing to consider is that in Rasputin's bunker, at the very end is a massive server, easily as tall as a tree with a mushroomed top big enough to live in. Considering it was built during the Golden Age, it would mean that that server had to be that big to support Rasputin's systems, and it's feasibly only one of a large network. The Stranger's brain simply wouldn't have the processing power to contain even a functioning fragment of a Warmind's data, not to mention an Exo and Warmind seem as functionally different as chimpanzees and humans. It might be more possible that the Exo Stranger is connected in some way to Kabr, which would explain A) her disdain and deep knowledge of the Vex and B) her time travel abilities (read her grimoire. It's basically stated she travels through time).
