why is destiny community full of a**holes
I personally have more time into this game then 80% of people and have seen it all. I would say 50%+ of people on the forums are not supportive or willing to help weaker players, players asking for help, or casual players.
They are more willing to bash people or tell them they are bad then they are willing to help. People read forums all day just to post nasty and unhelpful things.
Why cant the community be more willing to help people progress rather than hinder there progress or say screw you your bad. If only people could mature and understand its a game and people are looking to have fun when they get on.
For the helpful supportive guys/girls out there i commend ur respect towards others.
Anybody with more to add feel free or reply below to show people out there that there are good guys like myself who are very skilled willing to help others progress.
Im always willing to help feel free to hit me up on here. Make this community fun and supportive dont be a typical a hole that has nothing better to do than bash on others.
Raids and strikes and all we need to help the players have fun too

I actually wasn't aware the community was that bad! I have been on some apps trying to get help with strikes and have been doing absolutely everything either solo or with pre-chosen vanguard 3-person fireteams. The problem with me is my hours aren't like most people and am usually on from 1-4am and none of my friends are on at that time. When I have tried getting help on strikes I get no responses so I figure it's just my luck of the draw at the time of day I play. I've been playing since Day 1 and love it. I'm only a 24 working on 25, but doing what I can playing solo. The good side of being forced to go solo is that I have become a better player for it. When I do get in on the vanguard 3-person strikes I feel like I work pretty well. I am actually very surprised I have grown so used to playing this game now as opposed to other FPS as I'm not a big gamer, but just really love Destiny. I am always happy to help others if needed. I didn't know a lot of the people were elitists who don't want to give others the time of day. I've missed out on some good stuff because of my timeframe in daily schedule, but am making the most of it.

I go through the same thing. I used lfg sites only to find judgemental people on there that will not help me. I've never run any raids and cannot find people to do nightfalls with. The most fun I've had is leveling characters with randoms. Add me on psn and we can play sometime man, always looking for friends

When you ask for help no one will lend and hand but insult the game and they will lend you a punch say "get gud scrub" thing is, how can people get good when no one helps each other. It reeks of hypocracy. This also accounts for ingame too, you are literally judged on grimoire score and class, loadout is a thing of the past. People segregate other just for being a hunter or titan and warlocks are considered cheese gods. I would continue further but I rather not meet ninja justice. I gave up helping everyone and I gave up streaming and closed my youtube channel because it "upsetted" the community because I didnt "cheese" the templar or because I use the SGA against oracles. I was even warned about copyright laws for the videos I made because they were apparently another players video when in the video it was me soloing the first part of VOG. The other thing is that here I am sometimes helping people and then they add me but within a week they have become strong elitists wanting to speed through everything and swearing at everyone. In the end I just gave up on this community and kept the secrets to me and my group, we kept the easter eggs and we kept the best methods. The community does not deserve to know anything because of their stingy attitude and consistant need to verbally abuse others. There is only around 2% left in the community that are considered to be kind and helpful. The others.... well, you already know.

I'll tell you why. The beauty of the Internet is the anonymity of it all. No faces, no physical presence; just you, names and words on a screen and your imagination. While this sense of anonymity can give people a sense of security involving their identity (with the exception of sites which personal info is voluntarily given), this security is a double-edged sword. People who feel the need to bash people online can do so without risking personal consequences, knowing that what happens online (most of the time) stays online. As a result, people who have a sense of emotional instability/ insecurity can lash out on other people who they may never "see" again, and have the temporary emotional response of [b]feeling important[/b] or better than others (which tends to be the opposite in their real-life situations) It all comes down to that primal need of being noticed, which comes from a lack of attention in their lives. The Internet for many is a way of compensating for their lack; why else do you think social media sites thrive? Sure it's a way to keep in touch with others, but it's [b]primarily a way to be noticed[/b]. In other words, people need attention, and the anonymity of the Internet serves that need. Peace.

It's true. I made a group for peeps from Vancouver and it got way better. Everyone's chill and willing to help each other.

This game is a race for loot. I'm trying to get my loot, you're trying to get your loot. People don't want to slow down their own race for their loot in order to help some random dude get his loot. Blame Bungie. They're the ones who opted to take a game with so much potential to be an epic personal tale of heroic journey and turned it into a loot grab where finding the best loot is the end-all, be-all of what it means to be a "Guardian". Yeah, Guardian of the horde of Exotics in my vault...

It's not the community, it's a small percentage who come on the forums to vent personal issues. I've added loads of random people from the forums who are all really helpful with the nightfall, raids etc.

2 RepliesI enjoy helping low Lvl folk as much as I like getting my arse kicked. I'm currently looking for a team to do vog and what not with, I haven't done them yet and want to do it legit. Any Lvl will be accepted. If you're low Lvl no problem I'll help you Lvl up, if you're high Lvl I'll try to keep up and learn from you. You could be my mentor.

The forums only represents around 5% of destiny players so really they're the ones complaining and alot of people you never hear from love the game. Also alot of us on the forums have very few complaints, thus you never hear from us
