Please implement an optional third person mode.
Reasoning: Mixed third person and first person experience already in the game is confusing to players used to 3rd person perspectives. Though I am not particularly partial to first person perspectives, I play destiny mainly for the coop and PVE aspect.
Defense: Disable third person option in crucible, however, players will still utilize third person emotes like point or dance in order to look around corners.
Delivery: Mass effect like over-the-shoulder camera angle. Options for south-paw and right handed players. Option will be available in the game options.
Post here if you agree and why.

We need a first person mode for the sparrow

This is the only reason my wife hasn't started playing destiny. They aren't going to do this, but it would be nice. Maybe for destiny 2?

I completely agree, the option would attract more people who enjoy 3rd person games, which I prefer. Still bought the game but the first person view gets a little annoying for me and gives me headaches eventually. I wouldnt make the view like it is in the Tower though because then people can see too much behind them in PvP. Best view would be like the one in the Last of Us multiplayer. Its 3rd person but you can still sneak up without the player ever realizing. Should make everything more fair if the option did become available and allow for gameplay options that can work for any player. Could drive in more people over the ten year plan and make people feel as though they can make the game their own. Options always make people happy, unless there is an extreme advantage to one or the other

I'd like to see it for PvE to be honest. Though everyone is right, aiming would be difficult and down the sights aiming would just be a small zoom unless you had a sniper i'd assume.
-
Please make this an entirely different game, thanks.

While I do love a third person shooter I'm not sure it would really be possible. Things like aiming down the scope would not be nearly as effective. Its too bad because I really like to actually see my characters in games. I put a lot of hours into making my character look bad ass so I would like to be able to enjoy that for more than the 2 minutes I spend in the tower.
-
This would actually require quite a bit of coding. If they did add it, we would not see it for quite some time. P.S. over the shoulder is 2nd person.

Edited for clarity

Ahhh so you think they should recode it so you can play it how you like not how they intended. Gotcha. So I'll give my opinion. 1 I will be nice. I love ME. Have all three platinums. So my response is No
-
I want second person mode.
-
It's not really a petition though, is it.
-
-
yep i would really like to see what my character looks like while raiding
-
Dis ain't Warframe :P
-
Does it include a monologue where you character describes what he's doing as he does it, about himself? I played the whole of fallout and skyrim in 3rd person, it was awesome. Chuck norris can speak in 4th person
-
Like others said, not in crucible. Otherwise I'd love it.
-
It would be too op in the crucible, you'd be able to look around corners and see if people are there. I thought about it though cause it seems so natural when you're in the tower.
-
As long as it isn't in the crucible. It could break the game very easily.

This is stupid. Go play games on your phone.

I think This would be interesting for Crucible. Also i think sparrow racing should be a game mode

I don't think it would fit this game as well
